I think those saying he wasn't friendly, he took time out to sign autographs rather than just walk past everyone. Plus all the hollering at him doesn't help. Sometimes we just need to get on with things quietly which is what he seemed to do here. Maybe on another day he'd laugh and joke with people. I think he was kind enough to sign a load of autographs so respect to him for that.
He is on a schedule to. Doesn't have much time to socialize with everyone. I guarantee that he generally would talk to his fans, me to, if he was not always in a tight schedule. He is busy. He waved to so that's good.
Wish I had known about this or I would have been there. He is quite possibly the gentlest human being I've ever met. It took 6 1/2 years of trying-he hated his fans and was inaccessible as a result.... finally I was able to meet him. 6 times..... Still one of my favourite performers.
Sorry but I just saw Barry Manilow at his last 2 concerts at the Westgate in Las Vegas and he looked great, sounded like he. was 30 and played the piano like an angel. Sorry I missed him on Broadway. By the way not a fanilow just an old fan from the 70's
