100% correct. Never use fuel containing ethanol in any marine engine of any make, size or type. Huge issues in the future as any fuel remaining in the tank degrades and breaks down which is an unavoidable outcome with ethanol.
When the ethanol separates from the gasoline it goes to the bottom of the tank because it's specific gravity is denser . The outboard motor draws from the bottom of the tank and if it has a higher proportion of ethanol the engine will not run . Wouldn't a recirculation device to mix the ethynol before the engine is started eliminate this problem ? The priming bulb could be utilised with a diversion line back to the tank so no additional pump or electronics are needed . Why hasn't someone done this ? Or perhaps they have patented it already but can't get it to market ..been there done that !
