Savitar and Eddie have the same story. They were forced into existence when they didn’t ask to be. They wanted help from Team Flash but were rejected so they decide to get revenge and ruin Barry’s life. Also Eddie died by getting shot in the heart and Savitar died by getting a shot in the back. Both Iris love interests who died to a bullet in front of her. 💀

This whole episode should have just been Barry and Future Iris interacting with Eddie

For all of The Flash's major villains, we only got their origin story in pieces along the way. With Eddie, we've been there from the beginning before he begins his journey of vengeance with only one episode left to see it through. Closing the show with a new beginning. It's like Barry said before in Season 5, his whole life is out of order, so is the end of his story.

The negative speed force chose eddie because eddie is the "nicest" of the thawnes. It realized it could generate more negative power if it took eddie's pain & turned it into rage.

Man I’m really loving this buildup toward Cobalt Blue. Don’t know how much of him we’ll get in the finale, but shit if he’s good, he could be one of the show’s best villains

I wished they didn't leak the set photos from the finale with every past evil speedsters returning but when the crystal showed each of them it still got me hyped for the finale.

I've rewatched the ending scene with Eddie becoming cobalt blue so many times. The camera work doesn't do his acting as big of a favor as it could be, but I LOVE the emotion and you can feel how broken he is after finding out his life still didn't matter even after death. And "I Guess that's why they Call it the Blues" playing in the bg? Excellent choice. I'm looking forward to the series finale. Looks massive⚡💎

This was a great end of the episode. Barry and Iris talking about their lives kind in that area with the red weather behind them reminds me of the episode before crisis.

I cannot wait to see Eddie Thawne as Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Blue has been the most requested villain to appear in The Arrowverse, it has been A LONG LONG TIME but I'm so Glad there finally doing Cobalt Blue, I was worried that they weren't going to do Cobalt Blue at all and end the show without Eddie coming back and be a villain and I thought the writers were going to ignore Cobalt Blue and Gloss him over but I am so happy he's been brought in, I am so glad they brought Eddie back from The Dead, Thankfully they didn't go with the trope of a Multiversial Doppleganger of Eddie Thawne as Cobalt Blue, My only negative with Cobalt Blue is him not being the big bad for the whole of Season 9, why couldn't Deathstorm and Red Death be Season 8's Big Bads and dedicate Season 9 to Eddie coming back and building it up to him becoming Cobalt Blue. the fact he's going to team up with Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash (his demented descendant who ironically should've been erased from existence when Eddie sacrificed himself and is Barry's Archenemy), Hunter Zolomon/Zoom, Savitar and August Heart/Godspeed is just mind blowing and could quite literally be the greatest villain team up of all time within The Arrowverse (second to The Legion of Doom in DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2), Eddie will probably break into Iron Heights and free Godspeed and go back to the past/pluck Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Savitar from the timeline before there fates were sealed. Shame they couldn't get Todd Lasance to come back as Edward Clariss/The Rival (anyone remember him?), I can relate so well with Eddie Thawne now, I too had a Girlfriend that was stolen from me behind my back (she has an uncanny resemblance to Violette Beane; Jesse Quick's Actress, also another shame after Crisis, they never brought Jesse back, I hate the fact she's possibly erased from existince, Jesse should've been restored to Earth Prime), I want Eddie to win, both me and Eddie Thawne have an emptiness inside of us, Iris and Barry are the Villains in Eddie, Savitar and Eobard's Stories, Please do not kill Eddie off, Barry should get through to Eddie and Redeem Eddie, Eddie deserves better, he didn't deserve this, his sacrifice was in vain and pointless due to Thawne coming back numerous times but he still deserves better, why couldn't Barry set Eddie up with Patty Spivot, I'm sure Eddie and Patty would be great love interests, another shame was not have Shantel Vansanten come back

But....zoom, godspeed, and savitar weren't negative speedforce avatars. Zoom was temporary artificial speed, that was the whole reason behind getting the natural speed to cure him. Godspeed was artificial. Savitar was just Barry so he was still connected to the normal speedforce. Thawne is the only one who's actually negative

I hope the final episode is able to balance all the old villains well while still giving Eddie good focus

Man, if I had a nickel every time a guy named Eddie was talking to an otherworldly being that referred to itself as "we" in a bass-boosted gravelly voice and could grant someone superpowers, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

At first it was concerning this arc only being 4 episodes, but it actually works well. We get the true end of Thawne being trapped in a endless cycle of pain and defeat, we then see Malcolm going insane trying so desperately to find out who Eddie was and how he died, and then we see Eddie slowly losing his mind leading into accepting him the Negative Speedforce, and then we get a big final battle with all the other big bad speedsters to end it off.

That line SHOULD have been “you’re as beautiful as the day I MET you” would’ve made this MUCH more impactful and IMPORTANT and just BETTER between these characters

Look Eddie wakes up and finds things have changed. His sacrifice was in vain and he no longer had Iris. However, if you remember it was Reverse Flash that drove it home to Eddie. Yes, Barry was encroaching but he wanted to make sure he told Iris before it was too late. However, Iris was set on Eddie. It's not Flash's fault. I am not entirely sure that I like where this is going. Will Flash become the lightning bolt to the start of the series? Eddie is sorely mistaken if Iris is going to come back to him when he is being so idiotic. Let alone married. Flash didn't kill Eddie but Eddie is trying to kill Barry. At least, cobalt blue is through Eddie.

Maybe this is an origin story for Cobalt Blue. Obviously it is but what I mean is that maybe this version of Eddie changes the timeline and that’s why things don’t happen how Barry’s map book predicted. Sadly “A New World” already has 3 parts and the world isn’t very new. What I think will happen is the time loop from the first episode, Iris getting pregnant early and everything else that hasn’t happened how it was supposed to will the aftermath of this arc. Maybe Barry has to fix the timeline and make things happen how they were supposed to in the map book thing. Maybe when Barry fixes time, he can throw the lightning bolt that struck him. And maybe Eddie will sacrifice himself again and actually end reverse flash
