I’m from around there, but moved 2 years ago to Staten Island. There’s no Italians left. Those few people are prob the last of them in the neighborhood. It’s sad how much the neighborhood changed😔

Hey Dave .. FYI .. The owner of The Brooklyn Square ( Peter Pizza) use to work in Ciccio's . Peter then opened his own place in B'klyn which he named " Peter Pizza" on Stillwell Ave. When you went to The Brooklyn Square , the round pizza had sesame seeds on it. You raved about The Bklyn Squares Sicilian. Well Ciccio serves the same square with exactly the same taste. Yes, tastier than L& B Spumoni Gardens.

I used to go to elementary school down the block. Im 45 now i used to go there and get the school special 2 slices and a small fountain soda for 2 dollars. And they used to put the semolina seeds in the crust on the regular pies back then.

I grew up across the street from ciccios and picked up a pie for my family every week. Everyone in the restaurant is very nice and there used to be a large group of old italian guys including the sunbather who would heckle passing women on the street and play cards. It was always very funny

The English Guy was probably Matt from Food Review Club. He does loads of Takeaway Reviews in the UK. He was over in NY earlier this year. I watch all his Reviews (and yours!). Cheers Chris (England)
