Barstool Pizza Review - Sicily Coal Fired Pizza (Middletown, CT) 

Owner waits years for Scott to come, they arrive 3 minutes late and turn a crispy 8.3 into a semi-floppy 7.8. Owner’s dream ends.

This here is Scott! From Swampdave. Huge Buckeye fan with a dog called Mr Britches. He loves reviewing peach pies. Heard he owns some sports bar, too. Real gentleman!

Wesleyan _was_ my first choice. I wasn't Yale material so I didn't waste my ED on it. I just wanted the whole process over with, kinda like Dave just wanted this review over with. You gotta go to Jerry’s next.

It crazy how we all have bad days at work when we're tired or whatever. But we get through it and it's no big deal. But if a Cop, doctor, judge or Dave are having a bad day they can literally ruin lives without trying. That pizza was a 8 at the very least.

first time i’ve ever seen Dave give an undeserved score; He finished one pizza and ate a second slice. How does that alone not constitute an 8 or higher?

Shoreline CT local here and Sicilian American, so you know I have some credibility. This is an 8+ pizza. Anytime I’m in Middletown there’s not even a choice where we go for pizza - I tell all my boys on the group chat too. Plus the spot is super cool on the inside, stellar beer list, excellent cocktails, killer pastas and other dishes. My fat Italian family and I usually get a pizza to share as an “appetizer” if we’re getting other dishes. Trust in this place. If you’re in the area it’s worth a drive.

You guys should just tell the people in there to wait until after the review to chat and take pictures. "For every second the pizza sits in this condensation box, it's losing points." is a fact. Here's an idea for you, free of charge. like you've said before, you think pizza boxes should have holes on top to let out the steam.. you should, with all your resources, invent a new pizza box that actually crisps the pizza more or at least keeps it the same. there could be condensation traps... etc.. that's an idea for ya. run on it. ;)

Score is a bit high. Why didn't you try the most popular and consistently best pizza in town - KRUST? Granted it's napoletano bar style but it's right down the street from Sicily and Mondo.

Was working for a palm tree distribution company last summer and delivered there once. Good stuff! Got the Sicilian pie.

It's actually good to see Dave be a little consistent. Many pizzas seem to be 8's but don't "Look" the part or are from a different city so he rates it low, and this time the pizza has the "Look" but taste still doesn't shine as well. GGs.

I demand a re-review, this is a travesty of pizza justice! The only thing he got right in that review was his hot take on Wesleyan! Super bright kids who didn't quite have the SAT firepower to get into an Ivy! And is it just me, or are we tired of hearing about Miss Peaches already? Shut up and review the pizza!
