I'm 43 and Rad is the movie of my life!!! It will live forever!!!! 80's freestyle forever!!!

When I was a little kid I rented this every friggin’ weekend from Blockbuster. My mom thought I was nuts but let me keep renting it. Now I’m 45 and my 3 year old is obsessed with this movie. I played it for him when he was 1.5 when I was trying to get him to nap one day, and now he keeps saying “Bike movie Dada?” This movie will live on forever for so many of us.

Love RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! this movie got me into BMX. I'm 42 and still ride my BMX everyday.

I'm turning 36 in 2 days and rad was my childhood. Watching Cru and Bart battle it out on BMX was mind blowing at such a young age. I will never forget this movie and I will never stop talking about it!

I was so obsessed with this movie that my first bike was a boys bmx with training wheels 🤣🤣🤣 I never got into it myself cause I'm a klutz but i literally bawled when i outgrew that bike. I still have send me an angel on my playlist because it reminds me of this movie.

Being 12 and watching him just destroy the 84 games was amazing. When this movie came out afterwards it took me a second to process that the guy on TV wasn't the Guy on tv.

Because of you guys, I did a Doomed-to-Fail flip over my handlebars as a little girl. It ended with my doing an asphalt belly flop and the bike landing directly onto my head, making my chin hit the pavement AGAIN! Lol 😆 So many skinned knees and elbows. It was great!

I am 38 yrs old now and Rad really got be into BMX riding. One of the most exciting movies of my childhood and still is, even today. Wish Bart Conner all the best and thanks for you contribution to the childhood of many others.

He seems like a down to earn nice guy. Bmx had such a huge impact on my life. Up until rad, we freestylers only had the bmx plus and freestylin magazines. For a lot of us, rad was the first time we actually got to see our heroes in action. We finally got to see what the tricks actually looked like in motion.

As a GenX'er who grew up in the early days of freestyle, had a GT Pro Performer, and wore out a copy of Rad, I had no idea Bart Conner was an Olympic medalist. Lol!! Bart seems like a classy, super laid back guy. Thanks for sharing this interview!

There're 5 or 6 movies I can follow along with verbatim, but with Rad I can do it without even having the movie playing. If you don't consider that worth bragging about then you're probably a pathetic loser. ...Not me though! ...I'm going places at age 37. Win all the Olympic gold metals you want Mr.Taylor, but I bet I can remember your lines better than you...not your gymnast lines but your dialog in the movie Rad. ...who'd wanna be an Olympic GOLD medalist anyway?...pfft.🙄 For real though: That film (which actually WAS still film back then...WAAYY back then😉) inspired and motivated me me in SO many ways. I'm 37 and still ride a bit(I skate way more...Gleaming the Cube anyone?) I make skate videos, collect older BMX's, and make ridiculously campy stunt shots to the song "send me an angle".

At 44 years old, I am amazed at how much this movie shaped the lives of kids like me. It kept me active. It forced me out of my comfort zone when trying new freestyle tricks. It allowed me to meet other freestyle riders. And it always put a smile on my face whenever I watched the movie. RAD was more than just a movie for me, it truly played a pivotal role in how I grew up.

I'm 42 and I saw Rad when I was about 8 or 9 and I still love the movie today. I recently purchased the 4k version. Awesome movie.

There are a ton of good BMX movies, but RAD really is the crown jewel of them.

I remember when my aunt took me to the theater in North Hollywood to watch RAD... My dad bought me a used Torker Freestyle BMX used but still have to this day 🤓
