How did you begin? Have you learned it somewhere or did you just start? Because I myself started in a little bar and soon (because I'm experienced in mixing cocktails) I started making there. I wonder if you think that somebody needs to learn it before he can start in a bigger bar? How did you do it?

shaking is easier, you listen as the pitch of the ice changes in sound. It goes from a high sharp sound to dull and slushy. As for a stirred drink, its more visual. When you believe the drink is diluted enough you could taste it and could probably figure it out how much more it needs to go.
