Yep know them feels I think somewhere we still have this on VHS as well as Once Upon a Forest and many others pretty sure they all would still work something you can't say for dvds
This song almost got me crucified. One time at a theater, me and my bud went to go see American Sniper, and I was watching Bartok earlier, and this song got stuck in my head for an ENTIRE WEEK. Mainly 1:54 . There were two scenes in American Sniper; one where he's in the heat of a battle with Al Quaeda, amd another where an Al Quaeda member drills a kid's head with a screwdriver. This damn song popped up in my head for no reason, and I bursted out laughing. Everyone gave me the most hateful look. I could hear a guy with the most southern, conservative accent saying, "God damn mother ******!". I had to lie that I had a tick to save myself from getting jumped or kicked out. Thanks Bartok.
With all the merchandising focused on Bartok more than Anya when the principal movie was released in 1997, I had a feeling that this would happen, I wasn’t thinking a movie though, more like a TV series spinoff but still.. for proof, LOOK AT THE BURGER KING TIE-IN COMMERCIALS!

For years, every time I heard the song by Train- 50 ways to say goodbye, the part “That's cool, but if my friends ask where you are I'm gonna say” sounds just like this tune. At the beginning “once in Mongolian i noticed a fire” or around 2:09 the instrumental for example. And it drove me nuts that I couldn’t remember where else I’d heard it. till one day my brother found this song for me. I can’t believe I had forgotten Bartok the magnificent.
It's probably safer to say prequel, since Anastasia and the Romanov's were the last royal family of Russia before it became Communist, and this movie still has Queens/Kings.
I'd say it's safer to see it as a spin-off that doesn't really tie in to Anastasia's timeline. I think it's fun to see it as its own thing rather than confuse myself on where it takes place.
I think it was very cute they gave Bartok his very own movie. He deserved it, after all Rasputin put him through! Certainly makes me miss my childhood too.
Had this song stuck in my head all day, but with "Conan the Barbarian" instead of "Bartok the Magnificent." It took me forever to figure out where it was from. Amazing how I don't remember anything about this movie but the song has been bouncing around in my brain since childhood!
Hammer space. It's a theoretical thing that allows any number of objects of any size to fit into a seemingly impossible space. It's best demonstrated in cartoons.
To be fair this isn't technically Disney, but admittedly it shares a lot of animation styles similar to Disney, for one simple reason. Don Bluth. He was a former animator for Disney but left the company because his style of animation and drawings were considered "too dark" for Disney standards. He's responsible for a lot of classics, such as All Dogs go to Heaven (not sure about the sequel), Secret of NIMH, Land Before Time, and so on and so fourth.
BARTOK AHHH i love all of these disney movies tht are wayy better than hannah montana i miss the lion king nd tarzan and all the best disney movies i feel sorry for all of the kids that didint get to experience this in their childhood please bring back all of the classics disney
Erm, no, It's a prequel. There's about 200 years difference, Bartok the Magnificent is very loosley based on the story Ivan VI (Born around 1740), who was a prince, imprisioned and usurped. Anastasia was born in 1914. It's pretty clear from the nature of the technologies in both films what the settings are.
Just wanted to look how it sounds in english, and this is also very catchy! Yeah, I'm French but excepting this I'm like you all :) I came here to reached out my childhood
