Edited highlights of a flight from Manchester (Barton)(EGCB) to Newtownards in Northern Ireland (EGAD) on 29th July 2024.
The aircraft is G-BOIL, a Cessna 172 from LAC Flying School at Barton.
We filed GAR and VFR flight plans for both the outbound and return legs.
The TAF's were perfect and we set off in glorious conditions which lasted until about the Solway Firth but it then became very grey. That explains whey there is comparatively little footage of the later stages of the flight.
There wasn't much happening at Newtownards (in fact the very helpful fueller said they only had one serviceable aircraft). We had a bite to eat in the very pleasant café and set off back.
