BASE Jumping FAILS - And Near misses in the UK.
Everyone in this video survived #thankyoujesus........
......but, there were a few broken bones.
This is a reminder of how dangerous BASE jumping, and spending time in the mountains can be.

Big thank you to all BASE jumpers and videographers that supplied footage. You all know who you are! Haha. We’ve all made mistakes, some less fortunatate than others but thankfully all the guys involved in this carnage video are either back jumping or have recovered from their injuries. Safe jumping everyone!
These jumps and video clips took place over 2018 and 2019 in England, Wales and Scotland.

I'll pass on the ultra lows. Any pilot chute hesitation and you're dead. That guy at the beginning must have been diligent about his beer debts. 😬

I've only done 4 base jumps in my life so far, so I'm new. This feeling of standing on the edge is just surreal and I was scared to death every time. Many people don't understand that it is not the longing for death that drives us but rather the irrepressible urge for freedom. Sometimes you have to let go from life to live it to the fullest. The idea of wasting my life with a bag of chips in front of the tv has always been a lot more terrifying for me than dying on a base jump. So I'll keep going..

Yes... Keep going! Don't think about your family and loved ones... Just think about yourself and getting that adrenaline jolt. So what if your loved ones will have to live on with the absolute sadness of knowing that you became tomato mush at the end of a cliff. Hey! You were doing what you wanted, right? 1 per 2000 chance of death PER JUMP... Oh! Those odds look pretty "safe", don't they?

Back when I was jumping, I used to host the Aussies in the UK. Occasionally an American would come at the same time before they headed over to Kjerag or Lauterbrunnen. All the Aussies got in on the low gnarly stuff but the yanks were always "You can keep that shit to yourself, thanks". Good times.

@@JJM2222 not to sure it looked almost identical to that area. Pretty unique cliff. It was some private footage a mate had at my DZ Although after scanning the entire UK coastline, it could be so many places lol. Most likely east coast.. lol

The beach tree landing was actually pretty impressive. He nailed the only small opening in the trees perfectly (at least with his body, the wing hitting the trees at low speed is not so bad)

Don't post the legit fails where you're flying and you see your buddy dissapear into trees.... knowing you'll never see him again. His name is Chad Smith, he had 4 broken vertebrae and a fractured pelvis after this jump I believe. His chute opening in the last half second saved his life!!

What happened on that first jump? I’m just getting into base(2 jumps deep) and I don’t have the cash to pay instructors I already made myself poor skydiving haha
