I'm really impressed with all your functionally smart purpose built choices: from Fab Four, AEV, swapping out the original sport fenders with the high clearance Rubicon flares. Keep the videos coming!
that's what I did, started with a 2 door 2 liter wrangler sport with hard top. Rubicon axles with lockers, bigger tires, F/R bumpers, lights, RC light controller, Warn winch, sway bar disonnect, sliders, 2.5 inch lift, fox shocks, fender jerry can mounts, snorkel, larger yellow top battery, roof rack, tire carrier mod with basket, and a bit more. Plus lots of recovery gear. Been all over the rocky mountains with it off road, camping, exploring, and having a good time with it and my boy. With all that, I have less in it than a stock off the lot rubicon.
How much did all the upgrades cost? Did it just make more sense to go with the rubi model? As far as locking diffs and re gearing..the jeep does look nice though
I picked up a 2020 JL Sport S (6speed) for $28k. If it wasn’t for the price point I would have definitely gone for the Rubicon especially now that I’m getting more & more into off-roading.. But I figured with the lower initial cost/monthly payments I’d have more freedom to play with for parts but really regretting the Dana 30/35 right now especially since I’m going up to 35’s
James Murphy sorry typo, but yes 29k OTD. Same boat with the Hardtop, a/c, etc. Power locks/windows was a must for me. Since getting regeared I was told I actually have a Dana 44 in the rear so those 37’s do sound temping but still too paranoid to run those on the Dana 30 up front lol. What gears and axles are you running?
Luke Scholey damn good for you bro, i got everything else basic, manual windows, manual locks. But i also added like 4 protection packages lol. Im not too sure if mine is the 44 or not but i havent regeared yet
