My first experience watching baseball in Japan was absolutely incredible! In fact, it was my first time watching baseball altogether! I went to Koshien Stadium to see Hanshin Tigers vs. Yomiuri Giants in a critical match close to the end of the season, followed by an immensely tense follow-up game a few days later, putting the Tigers on track to win the league for the first time in 18 years.
To say Osaka went wild, would be an understatement. The atmosphere and experience were captivating! Follow along through my first experience watching baseball in Japan.

Thank you for supporting the Hanshin Tigers !🐯♥🇯🇵 Have you ever watched the National High School Baseball Championship Tournament held every August at the same stadium? It is a tournament for high school students, but it is so popular that tickets sell out every day. It is a tournament filled with music and cheers that are different from those of the pros, and I want people all over the world to know about it! By the way, Koshien Stadium was built 100 years ago for this tournament.

If a former American baseball fan sees a Hanshin Tigers game at Koshien Stadium, his or her passion for baseball may return. That's how interesting a Hanshin Tigers game at Koshien Stadium is! If baseball lovers come to Japan, I recommend seeing a Hanshin Tigers game at Koshien Stadium. The earth-shaking cheering by Hanshin Tigers fans is something you will never experience in MLB.

Japanese "YAKYU" baseball was derived uniquely from American-style baseball and took more than 100 years to achieve. The fact is that on this same planet, there is another baseball that exists in a different spirit than the US style. Of course, the roots of baseball are USA(or UK), but baseball that was exported to other countries from USA and took root there developed in a different way. This would be a fact. 2023 WBC was the day that ”Japanese YAKYU” defeated the home of ”American-style baseball”. Another way to describe this is to say that it was a battle between Japanese-style "ZEN-INーYAKYU” baseball, which emphasizes "Teamwork among all players", and American-style baseball, which emphasizes "Individual power players", and it was a day when ZEN-INーYAKYU (Teamwork-oriented organizational baseball) won.

@brianchar-bow3273
@brianchar-bow3273 6 месяцев назад
@@otaviofrn_adv Thank you for your response. Japan is a country whose culture has developed since ancient times based on the teaching that people should cooperate with each other and maintain a peaceful life. The idea of freedom is probably fundamentally a bit different than in the West. Ironically, baseball itself may be a sport that is more suited to the Japanese national character, which from the start considers strategic actions based on organizational skills, than it is to the United States or the United Kingdom, where it originated. Baseball is played not one-on-one, but with nine players, advancing one base at a time and scoring only after reaching home base. With the exception of HRs, this is the basic rule. As you can see, baseball is a game that requires very organized and collective action. It is a game in which one superhero with some outstanding ability does not necessarily score more runs than the opposing team. It is a game in which the nine players who make up a team cooperate with each other in offensive and defensive situations to score more runs than the opposing team while utilizing the characteristics and individuality of each physical ability. Thus, baseball is not by nature a game that prioritizes individual play, but a game in which organized cooperative action produces results as a team. In Japan, in order to secure each person's private freedom in his or her own sphere of life, they act in public so as not to cause trouble for each other and others. Each cooperates and acts with the other by suppressing their own selfishness and private desires as much as possible. It is a rule to act separately in public and private situations. This is because by doing so, they can avoid each other from having unexpected problems in public, they do not waste time, and everyone can continue their daily lives peacefully. In Japan, the idea that everyone should understand this with each other in public and cooperate with each other equally, regardless of status, age, gender, and identity, is deeply rooted in the Japanese mind. This is because it is an efficient way to create a safe and secure environment in which people can live each day in a public place with other strangers. Especially in situations of natural catastrophes and other situations where everyone is severely affected, priority should be given to actions to solve the problem by actively cooperating with each other, without complaining, for early recovery that is in the common interest of all, without individual selfishness. Thus, Japanese people are not afraid to act collectively toward the same goal as long as the objective is clear. This Japanese way of thinking is behind Otani's selfless behavior, such as his insistence on contributing to the team's victory rather than his individual performance in a game, and his easy donation of his winnings. The game of baseball, which was imported from the United States and took nearly 100 years to take root, happened to fit the national character and culture of the Japanese people. Perhaps that is why it has developed into a nationally popular sport that is still widely supported and loved by the Japanese people today. Of course, this is largely due to the existence and establishment of the Koshien Tournament, a national high school baseball championship that serves as a proxy for regional rivalry games throughout Japan.

One of the reasons baseball took root in Japan was the era of GHQ's rule after the defeat. America was seriously afraid of Japan and wanted to somehow weaken it, so they promoted baseball. Bushido was considered the reason why the Japanese were strong. That's why GHQ banned martial arts and allowed only baseball as a sport. Ironically, it is interesting that baseball found Bushido in baseball and evolved in a completely different way than the American idea of baseball.

Baseball games in Japan are like festivals and we welcome and respect BB players of any nationality and any colours of skin. Most Hanshin Tigers fans say "神様、仏様、バース様" remembering Randy William Bass who came from MLB, played with Tigers 1983-88 and became a heroic player. Japanese BB also accepted Trevor Bauer.

Literally the same atmosphere that Indian fans have watching cricket, especially when India is playing 😆

甲子園もいいけど、神宮球場も球場越しの新宿ビル群が印象的でオススメ。夏は暑いから、春か秋が最高

you can pass money and they pass the beer to you in return? WTF :D here the money would have gone after 3 hands and you need security everywhere because some idiots always mess up. When I go to Japan i definitely go to a Baseball Game
