We took a trip to BIG BEN NATIONAL PARK and stayed in a tipi at the base camp Terlingua it was the javelina tipi and used this as a base camp for going into the park and was near the ghost town of Terlingua.

We stayed in the Desert Pearl (basecampterlingua) and loved it. I don't know what it is--but I just loved Terlingua. It was amazingly peaceful and beautiful, which we needed after climbing Emory Peak in Big Bend. I didn't want to leave. Thanks.

So cool of a place and the area makes me so at peace with myself not sure what it is but I have been going to Terlingua and Big Bend for years and it just keeps calling me back

We just got back from our spring break vacation and Terlingua is the best place I have ever been! So peaceful and a beautiful place! ❤️🙌🏻

Great video! I actually really liked the voice over after the entire trip rather than in real time. Seems like you were able to give more details in retrospect.

When you had the cold front move thru….was a heater in the teepee? Or extra blankets?

yes there was a small heater and blanket . It is a teepee and it does have a hole in the top of teepee it is not like a room the heat does rise out the top

In November, what was the high temperature you experienced?

High was around 80 then a storm came and drop into the 50’s . I have been there and it was hot but nights were cold it is so hard to tell what you are going to get but it has been the best time to be had

So I'm trying to plan a getaway there but my wife saw the website saying that there might be a chance for scorpions or other desert animals to enter the tipi, did you encounter any issues with that?

No we did not encounter any issues with that . we sent three nights there and everything was good

I want to go out there in October (2020). Are there places out there that will allow dogs to stay? Jake would love it out there.

with in a mile. For the best breakfast you just go straight in to Terlingua where you turn to go to camp.. starlight cafe is there also. and there other op. nearby also
