This dude just strengthened my father’s more conservative ideas that had been weakening (hopefully only slightly) It doesn’t even really matter what he said. Most people won’t listen to the speech. Corporate Democrats also represent the upper class, even if they are more willing to throw the rest of us a bone now and then. Going to the RNC and infecting a few Republicans with the idea that unions are good, while lighting a fire under complacent Dems who have comfortably ignored the left all this time, is a good thing. It's like when Pete Butigeg goes on Fox. I'm no fan of Wine Cave Pete, he's another corporate Dem, but he's exposing people who have only ever heard the Fox narrative to more progressive ideas. I wish we could have more actual leftists do the same.

I have not heard anyone say unions should be loyal only to Democrats What I hear is that, Democrats are the only party with the voting record and pro union/worker bills and votes So appealing to anti union, right to work legislation pushing conservatives Seems to be pandering. Again it's true the Dems do not own union support But the dems.are the only party that shows any kind of union or pro working class support. Dude, He claimed that Gop Has been building pro labour relations for years, and acted like the anti worker stuff was a fringe component His own union members slammed him on their group chat and pointed out that Trump, JD VAnce and Hawley let alone the Republican party has been some of the most anti union in the recent history When he pointed out Josh Hawley being pro worker suddenly The worker Tribune a pro union paper revealed Hawleys voting record on unions and worker rights as abysmal And pointed out that neither Hawley or any Republican voted or supported the PRO bill (a pro worker bill) They also didn't support the Buy back American plan, the chips act, etc. O'Briens continued support for Hawley was even called out by the LGBTQ members of the teamster union As Hawley is an anti LGBTQ person and a bigot So now the LGBTQ portions of the teamsters are asking if they have to sacrifice their identity to support an anti woke condition from bigot Republicans in exchange for them supporting unions So he got called out as a liar by both pro union media And his own union members for trying to lip service anti union anti worker politicians and party And now members of his own union are worried he will sell them out for Republican favor because he openly supports an anti worker bigot politcan He literally is being called a scab king and his own vice president of the union condemned the speech...

​@@westsidetyler the only point I am making is that his choice to praise and publicly endorse Anti worker, anti union candidates and then act like they were allies when their record and behavior is against them Has not only angered, but literally ostracized members of this guy's own union to the point they do not trust him to not sell them out... The whole working with both parties is a fine idea But only Democrats have the record and public support for unions So it's hard to praise people like Trump, Vance and Hawley when your own union members can debunk your claims in an instant. Many unions members hated Josh Hawkeye walk-in the Pickett line cause he was so anti-worker they thought it was a photo op which it was Biden was again the railroad strike so Republicans pretended to be pro worker for an op and clout. I think his biggest mistake was giving lip service to anti worker republicans Instead of only focusing on the, "we work with whosoever pro union and worker" and calling out elites.
