Maybe one for the teens that carry a backpack or for anyone else who makes a rucksack or bag of some kind with some structural integrity part of their Every Day Carry! Particular for any non permissive environment where the carry of any purpose built item for your own GOD given right to personal protection has been immoral and unlawfully outlawed! Objective here would be 'stun & run!' Strike, make space and leg it! Lee M

Solid work. If you wanted a hard insert for your bag you could harden a fiberglass blanket and cut it to shape. Hardened fiberglass is actually fairly bullet resistant. It will stop most pistol calibers as long as it is thick enough. Just remember to wear a respirator when cutting it because the dust is terrible for your lungs.

Lee has slowly become my internal monologue, and the wife hates it. Supermarket, aisle 1, fresh milk. "Attacker comes up behind you, puts a knife to your side, you have a gallon jug of milk... You can use it as an extension of the hammer fist, open the lid and cause a temporary blinding distraction."

I was once a sports therapist at a local football club and after leaving one evening, I saw a guy getting jumped by a group of lads. I ran over and starting swinging my physio bag at them and caught one right on the chin and floored him. His mates all scarpered. The bag probably weighed a couple of stone with all the bandages and bottles inside it.

Carrying water in case of acid/substance attack is useful, and would ensure your bag has some weight behind it.

Re-enforce the bag by putting a plastic chopping board in the same size as the bag this also makes it stab proof.

If you have something heavy in the bag would it not be better to swing the bag with the straps instead of doing the hook? If not, could you explain why?

In order to generate force it would have to be a fairly long swing which means a slow swing , giving assaulter time to get inside or step outside, and then you have to control the swing and the momentum could leave you open. Think of it as attacking with a shield as opposed to a blackjack .

I've already said it should have structural integrity and when it's used leg it, so a stun and run tactic is what I am suggesting and for that it has a place!
