@LsBluu the question we need answers for are the blazer dual piston calipers brake line to caliper flex hose. Which one did u use and work? I installed a full Goodridge 14178 kit and only aftera yr or so th3 front passenger ruptured. The supposed oem hush brake fluid pass the bottom crush washer on both when trying to bleed. Both are tight AF. The goodridge lines never leaked and had plenty pressure b4 they ruptured. Now the kit is outbof stock and I can't find just the front steel braided lines.
I already did the brake upgrade next will be 1 inch taller upper ball joints, longer brake hose and bump steer kit. More suspension travel and keeps front wheels straight when front end comes up.
The lug spacing is the same ? I have a 1995 and would love to retain the wheels I'm running now without using spacers. So, it's 98-2003 Blazers , 2 wheel drive that we need to look for ??
Thanks for sharing. Slick S10 this is definitely a sleeper hardwork shows and always pays off. Hope you surgery goes well and see a video of this truck at the track!
@@violetknight6427I actually have to do that rear swap, but I’m wondering if anyone sells a big brake kit for the rear maybe a 4 piston or something bigger than a single piston to match the 6 piston corvette brakes I’ll be putting on the front
Did this swap on my 91 s10 with the 98 blazer 4wd spindles and components and it did not work, had way too much positive camber sticking the tires outside of the fender, 4wd spindles are much taller. Just to save anyone else the hassle.
What size bolts fit to mount the wheel hub to the spindle? Bought brand new wheel hubs and blazer drop spindles but neither the hubs or spindles came with bolts to mount them
Did the front end drop even more when you ls swapped it? (From the extra weight) I'm wondering if I should do a 2" drop before or after a ls swap. Thanks
Thanks for the info.. another question... Are the dual piston calipers only on blazers? I went to the junkyard yesterday and all of the s10s and jimmys I saw were single piston. There weren't any blazers
Do you know of a front disk brake modification that I can do and be able to use the drop spindles that I just put on my 1998 Sonoma? Thanks, down the road in Louisville.
I have a 1993 s10 extended cab , I’m interested on doing the same big brake upgrade. Does the blazer brakes have to be from a regular blazer or 4x4 blazer?
Another thing you want to avoid in drag racing is excess weight!! Those blazer brakes look a lot heavier then the S10 brakes. If I'm "upgrading", I'd rather upgrade to something lighter, and stronger.
@@LsBluu thanks for the response, are you still running the s10 drum styles breaks or did you blazer swap those for disc brake style as well, what was the process of that if so
@@LsBluu ohh ok, yeah that would make sense after thinking about it LoL, If I had Lowering Springs in the front I'd definitely do this, but I don't, I've got the 2" Lowering Spindles.... But this is a really good idea tho, I still need to swap out my Drums for the Disc Brakes Conversion Kit that I've got, heck I've had it for like 2+ years now tho LoL, I just need to grab a Proportioning Valve from a Blazer tho for it to work.... I've actually got all kinds of stuff I need to do to my truck, parts that I've collected over the years and now that my truck is done I'll hopefully be able to get some of the stuff done on it 🤞🤞🤞
