Actually they can, all reptiles (birds are a subclass of reptiles) have a cloaca, if you potty train a bird and teach it to only poop in a certain place, they'll hold it until they are put there, or until they fly there

Hannah Williams well you keep them in a coop 1st of all so ifvthey need to go in the night some poop in certain corners so i know exactly where to look others idk wth they are doing i think they poop while running lol if therye outside i dont pick up the poop bcs its great compost so i put grass seed and soil over it but no i havent worked out if you can potty trian lol you got me thinking..

I grew up around chickens and it still amazes me how much each chickens personality really shines in unique ways. They are definitely smart, grow bonds and are extremely curious and funny pets.

All vertebrates are intelligent because they have back bones and skulls with brain matter. So, I guess we shouldn't eat them, but all invertebrates (excluding octopuses) should be allowed to be eaten because they have lower forms of consciousness Mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles

And chickens are so smart, smarter then some people- They cam recognize over 100 faces, chickens dream when they sleep, and one day I tripped really hard and started crying, and guess what? My one hen came running to me, looked me in the eye and sat by me.. Another time a squirrel was chasing me and Blossom the chicken ran after it and nearly killed the thing.. Then she came at to me and cuddled :) Well Congrats you read up to here, are you still carless about chickens? Id hope not.

As long as the chicken's not too fat and heavy, they can usually fly fairly well. I have two 5-month-old cockerels now, and they can both fly up (and/or bound up a ten-foot ladder) into their loft. Considering how many predators have broken into their rooster house in the past, I don't want to trim their wings in case they need to fly to safety.

Man I love chickens. We had one for each member of our family and they had names and everything. They were just for eggs. But they loved being pet. OH AND THE *DUCK* . The duck had a diaper and came and watched Movies with us inside. She also followed us around the house because he had imprinted on us.

I grew with chickens and had a rooster when I was a youngster. But it's not until my kids recently had their own pet chickens I've come to discover how absolutely amazing they are in everyway. They are smart and tough and resilient.

+Reagan Buck when I was younger my family had a huge backyard and it had over 50 chickens and over 100 chicks, we sold every 2nd chicken we counted (because why not?) and raised all the small chicks, we even got a goose(well this was our 3rd one, because I am a cruel moma :c) and 2 ducks :D but then we had to get rid of all of the chickens but we kept the goose and ducks :D

Charlie Reddick You can order chicks or eggs for hatching online. The chicks can survive transport because they need a day or two after hatching to dry off and for their bones to harden so they have some yolk left inside them to live off of.

people always has misconceptions about chicken but they don't realise how cute, curious, funny and affectionate birds they are. As a person who grown up with chickens and who love chickens, I can say they are much better than cats and dogs.

In my experience raising chickens is they are the most useful animal we have. They are also smarter than most people think and actually have personalities to some degree making good pets once they trust you.😊

They are actually really easy to get. Get yourself a little incubator, order some hatching eggs online, wait ~month and you have your little peepers. Just make sure to do your research for *all* stages of their lives. For example, you *need* to turn their eggs while they are incubating, 3 times a day, or get an incubator that will do it for you. None of it is hard to do, it's just important to actually do it.

Everyone thinks chickens are dirty and will give you diseases- they're not. Hens are sweet little pets with tons of personality. We have 14 hens and a rooster, and although the rooster's a jerk the hens are amazing. They lay eggs too, and fresh eggs are great for eating and selling. They're also not hard to upkeep, one bag of food keeps them going for ages and there's nothing truly expensive about them. Even getting just one is nice, they're good company. I wouldn't suggest keeping them in the house as I don't believe they can be house trained and will poop alot, but making a little area for it is nice and they can learn lots of tricks while not needing too much attention. I love chickens :)

Well, my grandparents have a chicken farm (for eggs only) and some chicken are really smart. Some are dumb, some are bullies, some are loners, some are selfless. A lot like people. I spent a lot of time with them when I was a kid, I named each one. But when my best chicken friend died after 10 years of raising her I didn't want such heartbreak again... But still, I NEVER EAT CHICKEN.
