The Negroni is a classic spirit-forward cocktail that is relatively easy to make. In this video, I also teach you how to make the Boulevardier, the close cousin of the Negroni.

I am thoroughly enjoying your channel. Whenever a customer of mine asks for a Negroni, I always have to pause to remember the ingredients. Will definitely try and recommend the Boulevardier. Thanks again! P.S. The classic margarita is my current go to at home cocktail. And all my coworkers are hooked also. Cheers!

I've recently discovered the joys of an espresso martini in the morning. I first came across it in a small hipster bar in the town I've recently moved to, but after searching online, I've struggled to find a recipe for it that I was entirely happy with. any chance of you recording a video of your take on this decent breakfast drink? and also to give me an excuse to day-drink without it looking like I have a drinking problem..

How do I make a Jabroni?
@DonovanPresents
@DonovanPresents 8 лет назад
To make a "Jabroni" shot, you need 1/2 oz of Cognac, 1/2 oz of Root beer Schnapps, and whip cream. Add the Cognac and Schnapps to a shot glass and top with Whip Cream and serve. www.drinksmixer.com/drink10247.html

Found "Jabroni" as variation of Negroni with Jagermeister instead of gin. Hm. kindredcocktails.com/cocktail/jabroni

You tell me, jabroni
@doctorx0079
@doctorx0079 6 лет назад
Who the hell would get rid of the gin and combine Jagermeister with Campari, that's just putting sweet liqueur on top of sweet liqueur. I suppose you like to combine Kahlua and Bailey's too. ;-) But seriously, try balancing your cocktails, you might decide it's better that way.

is your preference to use stir & strain technique for this cocktail? (I remember that negroni is an exception and for this is a build) anyway, finally a serious bartending channel! you got my sub, sir :))

So you mix, Gin, Campari Vermouth and add some ice? That's probably one of he easiest cocktails I've seen. Probably gives you also a good buzz, since it's all liquor.

If the Negroni isn't your style try the Killer in Red. It's sweeter and very smooth but the bitter aftertaste still comes through. Excellent cocktail. Be sure to use bianco vermouth. Larger liquor stores should have it.

Hey man, I was wondering if you might have any ideas on how to solve a little 'problem' I have. I always watch your video's and really wonder what all these drinks taste like, but I don't really have the money to go out and just buy full bottles of every liqeur, adding the chance that I don't even like the taste of it. Do you have any tips on how to get around trying a lot of different drinks before having to buy full bottles? (A (cocktail)bar is not really an option for me since there are no good ones anywhere near me :s)
@CocktailChemistry

Buy the stuff you need to make your favorite cocktail, and gradually add to the collection. Learn to make something with everything you buy and slowly branch out. Just remember to refrigerate your vermouth after you open it. The other stuff never really goes bad because of the high amount of alcohol. You can always start with the margarita since everyone likes those. Get yourself a 100% agave tequila, one of the small bottles of Cointreau and a good juicer like the Chef'n one.

Hey man, love the videos, however do you think you could make some drinks using some more well known liqueurs such as Jack Daniels, Smirnoff, JWalker etc. I think some people would appreciate seeing some fancy drinks that they can make at home with the bottles they do have instead of having to go out and by fancier Liqueurs specifically for the use in only a few drinks! Not sure about anyone else but I really want to make some drinks that you do but don't want to go out and buy three or four bottles as I already have heaps at home! Cheers.
@CocktailChemistry
@CocktailChemistry 8 лет назад
Thanks for the comment, the Basic Cocktails series of videos are meant to be simpler cocktails you can make using the bottles from the "Stocking your first bar" video. Future videos will only have one spirit ingredient like whiskey, but I'd encourage you to get more comfortable with things like sweet vermouth which have a place in several classic cocktails (manhattan, negroni, martinez etc).
@SirSollo
@SirSollo 8 лет назад
Okay awesome, thanks for the reply and i'll be looking forwards to those videos.. but perhaps i will go out and purchase a couple of these bottles to make some of the simpler ones, cheers and keep up the good work!
@thesherbet

Big bonus about spirits over beer/wine etc is you dont need to drink them all before they go off. The vast majority of spirits don't expire so there's not all that much stopping you from getting a bottle of something in and not using it very often. As for more well known brands, I would say thats more of an education thing. There's so many people that come into my bar and don't what Bacardi actually is, even though they've always drunk it. Not to mention, some larger companies get a little fussy about who is allowed to promote their products.

is from the name of the inventor of this cocktail count Camillo Negroni from Florence (Italy). The cocktail is indeed a viariation from the "Aperitivo Americano" (american aperitif) which was with seltz instead of Gin.
