Finally, someone clear, concise, and that doesn't assume her viewer will know anything! It isn't that I do not, but there are things that NO ONE has ever taken the time to explain or show and the fact that you do, and so well, makes your tutorials priceless! I haven't watched it in its entirety yet but hoping I can finally do something other than a square or rectangle now! My grandmother taught me the basics years ago (before the internet!) and she is long gone now so I have no one left to ask! I'm going to look around first but if you do not have a video out yet on gauging and how to universally change sizes and yarn sizes (if there is such a thing!) I'd surely like to know! Thanks very much!

Much easier to attach the sleeves to the body when they are flat, before sewing them. Lay the back and front panels open flat. Put the open sleeve next to it with the middle of the sleeve touching where the shoulders will be and sew the sleeve to the body in a straight seam. Now fold the front and back panels and the sleeve in half and sew from bottom of the coat to armpit and then along the length of the sleeve to the cuff in one long seam. Much easier than trying to fit the circular sleeve to circular opening on the side of the body. That's how I always do it. (just a suggestion)

I crochet my sleeves right onto the sweater in a spiral using a hdc. It’s very easy. If you need the sleeves smaller, go down a hook size.

Your teaching style is very easy to understand. The fact that you don't teach like we are 2 years old and that you also add written instructions makes the whole tutorial very easy, enjoyable and helpful. I'm already half way into my sweater. Thank you so much for sharing.

Ok I watched your video to see what all the fuss was about (people saying they didn't understand the video). And it is so easy to understand! No one should have trouble w this. Its a beginner pattern however, the only difficult thing was the lack of visual aid to help people understand what you're referring to.. I understood it perfectly fine and I can't wait to make one of these cardigans. It looks so comfy!!

I've been crocheting simple projects for years and I'm now trying my hand at creating things I can wear. I've graduated from hats to mittens to shawls to a basic granny square pullover, and now THIS will be my first cardigan. I've started section three of the body and it's working out very well. I chose a Caron Cakes yarn (quite colourful!) and can't wait to see how it turns out. THANK you for being awesome, and for sharing your gift with all of us on RU-vid. From a Canadian fan. xo

Peach Pepper how is the worsted weight yarn working out for this pattern? I'm curious. There was also another lady mentioning worsted.
@ellec5857
@ellec5857 7 лет назад
Hi there, It has worked out really well. It is thick enough to have a little weight to it, but not too heavy. The pattern creates such a nice stretch as well. Perfect for extra warmth on a cold Canadian winter or a chilly fall day.

@Southamericangirl42
@Southamericangirl42 6 лет назад
A store-bought cardigan made of quality yarn will cost at least $60 so you're still better off making one plus not all discount yarn is poor quality so if you're lucky enough to find affordable yarn you may even be abel to make the cardigan for 15 to 20!

@laurelgirard8475

@@Southamericangirl42 plus you have a unique cardigan. Even if 10,000 people made it too, it will be unique to your style of crocheting, etc. And your color choices will be yours. It’s an awesome feeling to crochet a garment. I’ve made them out of $3.99 Red Heart Super Saver and they were beautiful!! Of course, I’m not a fashionista, so I was more concerned with being warm in the winter!!

Very easy to follow tutorial, thanks so much! I've finally finished the 'body' part of my cardigan, I've used Bernat Softee Chunky (weight category 6 Super Bulky, 108 yds per ball, hook size 6) and I've needed around 20 balls since I'm pretty tall and I wanted the cardigan to go below my knees and to be slightly oversized. Just a little warning for any tall girls out there hehe :3 But besides that, it's turning out lovely!

One comment, you said to measure the chain from your shoulder to your knee. Up & down. That would mean you’re working vertically. Horizontally would be across, from back to front, across the chest, armpits and back. Otherwise your video is clear & concise & beautiful.

I don't know how I've missed your channel before! Very nice, concise instructions, and I love how you tell us how we can customize sizes. Being a larger woman it is hard to find things to fit and most patterns don't customize easily.
