Thanks Joel. I bought a camping lot with a 30 amp power line that was trenched from the utility pedestal several years ago. The utility company will only mark their power line, not that private line. I need to do some excavating for a driveway and need to find how the line was run underground. I tested your dowsing just using some copper wire at home where a known utility line runs from the power pole to a street light. It was verified by the utility company a couple of years ago when I planted some trees. Even with my crude simple 12 ga copper dowsing wire and a couple drinking straws...it works...Amazing. I'll make better rods. Thanks so much for posting this and thanks to your Dad for teaching you. I'll teach my 8 year old grandson too so we'll continue to share what you taught me.
I am a trained graduate scientist and I was astonished to find that it worked for me. My dowsing rods are 3/16" copper with 3/8" tubes on the handles. I tried putting a powerful magnet on a known "hit" and it did not affect the dowsing effectiveness. I can locate water lines, propane lines, electrical cables, and (I think!) aquifers underground. I can't confirm that, I did not dig. The other lines I know are there, I was not sure where. I marked the lines with small flags and took photo's for my records.
@@Bundysvideos Ha, not remotely... I even got a professional dowser involved, they thought it was at the opposite end of the farm to where I isolated the eventual leek to, literally kilometres away... 😁
@@duoploy-k5o they couldn’t find the water line at all? I personally don’t see how some one can find a leak, but I can see some logic to finding ferrous metal pipes under ground…. But the same idea I have on why it would work would also cause false positives anywhere large ferrous metals of any sore can be buried. PS thanks for responding!
I tried dowsing for good bike mechanics but it always pointed to Allan Millyard ... Any advice on how to spread my search pattern as he's always too busy?
I'm pretty sure you don't find fiber-optic cables unless they have a metalic jacket, correct? As fiber-optic lines are not affected by magnetic forces.
Will this work if there is no current running through the line, or does the line need to be energized? I'm trying to find an internet line that is run but it isn't powered, so not sure if I can locate it this way?
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to try this week to find a missing water pipe to an old barn here. Did you see my question about using pure silver rods of slightly smaller diameter? I have a few rods about 14 inches long but no silver tubes but I could use straws for the handle, I some stainless steel drinking straws someone gave me for Christmas. A Greenie relative said stop using plastic straws try these instead, anyway will dissimilar metals screw it up ?
hello, did you either put material inside so that the bars do not fall into metal or mineral? Or do you use holding techniques that save them from them? Are there any samples in it to find valuable? Bars for metal for space give different results, can you read those shapes? Do some research or you will never succeed.
