If your just getting into 1/12 and you don’t necessarily plan on running it that much but do want to be competitive what is a good alternative to a tire truer? Your videos are very helpful thanks!
+platnum960 Yes, I save quite a bit of money by doing so. You have to be careful and make sure the rims are not cracked or warped. I place them on the tire truer and cut them down and then sand off the remaining portion.
+Edward Pickering I forgot to mention. You can go to Futaba Pro Shop (In Japan) and buy foam doughnuts. They ship internationally and speak English quite well (via email) that is.
Enjoying the videos so far but would it be ok to have a short video on explaining the effects of stagger between the front and rear. Been running GT12 and they seem to say a 2mm stagger is a good start?
I've talked to drivers in Japan about this and they mentioned to me that 1) more stagger allows for a more stability/traction, but you sacrifice corner speed. 2) less stagger allows reduces stability/traction, but you gain more corner speed. However, I need to revisit this and I'll get back to you and confirm or add additional information to my above comments.
hey you may be able to help me, im having issues with running a oval track and with new tires my car dont have enough clearance to make the banked oval track without having issues with bottom barely scrapping.. who makes a thicker foam 1/12 its for my crc carpet knife 3.1. Ive used contact foams and parma and both of them ive had issues since after good 4-5 races of 5minutes each there worn to point car wont handle since its scrapping ground. Is there company i could check out for donuts or even better foam and rim complete
