I've been playing for a few months and felt like I'd plateaued. This is exactly the technique I've been wondering about. Great video, gives me a new level of noise to work on! Thanks.

@@greatestytcommentator The $10 ones are exactly the options that you do NOT want to buy. They don't make much sound and will likely chip your teeth. You have to go for those that are at least $25 in order to get something that is halfway good and safe to play. Going for the $50 options will be the best choice to get something of actual good quality when it comes to the sound that you get out of it.

You need to have your mouth open. Put your pinky finger in between your front teeth and keep that as the spacing for when you put the harp on your teeth. The metal reed needs to vibrate freely in/out of your mouth.

All has to do with the sound you're looking for and the type of sounds/rhythms you're going after. The glazyrin lighthouse is an amazing harp for the price point. Small, easy to play, big sound and good base. But first think about what type of playing & sounds you're looking for to guide you towards the right type of harp.

@hiliteharps2160

All depends on which beginner one you have and what types of sounds/playing your going after. Beginner ones are just fine, but they have their limits, especially when it comes to types of sounds etc. The difference between this harp and my first beginner ones is massive

That is the Spiral harp from Ildar Vargan. Those are magnets of different size which change the pitch of the harp. They act as weights to change the rate if vibration of the reed.
