You have the best tutorial videos on macrame that I've seen. Easy to follow along, you repeat things a lot and explain why you're doing something, you give great tips and you don't block the view of your project with your hands or film in crappy lighting like A LOT of people that I've seen. Holy crap that's such a pet peeve of mine. Let's create this macrame jewelry but first I'll film in poor lighting and obstruct the view with my hands so you can't really tell how I'm doing my knots. Also, I like your accent. I find myself watching videos of stuff you've done that normally I'd think might look too complex for me to do as a beginner but within like 5 minutes of one of those videos I'm like "Wow she makes this look so easy. I can totally do this." I think that's the sign of a good teacher.

I love your demos - I am learning to macrame from you, solely. It is helpful for me to go through and make samples of each knot you show. When making jewelry, I am finding how to start and end is the hardest. It takes planning, and its necessary at first to understand all the techniques available. It seems like half hitches, as opposed to square knots, require larks heads, so they have a different holding strand altogether, which limits how you can start and end a bracelet. It would be helpful to have an outline, or contents. But thank you, and cheers from Cali! :-*

It's interesting how all basic knots, in any genre of decorative knots, have always two opposite orientations. Which if you alternate between the two, you get a 'square' (or you can say has no angle). And if you keep doing the same orientation you get a spiral. And I think its always true no matter if its a hitch, stitch or knot, as long as its not a closed knot. In fact you can even prove mathematically that stitches always goes in pairs. If you have some knot that can be continued, you can then compose a function that projects all the alignments into its mirror reflection. That mirror reflection will always transpose the opposite of the given knot. For instance, if you have a box, that function will return a spiral and vice versa.

Thanks so much! Please, please do more videos showing other knots (i.e. what's the next step above basic knots)...can you show examples of projects you completed with only the demonstrated knots? I got confused between the half-hitch to double half and reverse...For example, if one continues a chain of half stitches will you get the same effect as a chain of double half stitches? I've watched the reverse demonstrations several times and I still don't think I'm doing it right...lol...Thanks again for all that you do..I wish you many blessings! I really hope you will do a lot more knots techniques videos (with an example of a project/ creation you completed doing that particular knot...as this really motivates us to learn it and create something). If you will do these I will be ever grateful!!! All the Best! E.

Hi , I guess my comments were a bit long sorry . I was following steps for a spiral knot bracelet and after about 5 inches of spiral with my working thread down my stationary thread I had about 4 inches on each end of the stationary thread which I was going to put a few metal beads and a slide square knot to adjust for the wrist . While adding the small beads one of the 4 inch tails of my stationary thread broke off leaving about a quarter inch nub past the spiral . Can I attach more thread to the nub and then treat it with some wax so I don't repeat my error . My string was a little random and not the best so I'm trying to salvage the bracelet . What knot should I use to attach more of the same color thread to get my 4 inches back and finish the deco and put a quick square knot slide and be done for my first attempt , thanks .
