I ❤ both haircuts, but the second one is beautiful texture as you demonstrated cutting off the dust really made a difference.

I have two sons( a 9 and a 3 year old). They are my only "clients" but even my mother in law complimented on the three year olds hair cut, though he went to the barber. I used to just cut everything one length but after the youngest was born he has a round head and looked too bald with everything one length, so I started learning new ways. My oldest thinks he is cool with his hair much longer on top.

I'm 6 weeks into barber school and I really enjoy these videos. Your method seems easier for me than what I've been taught so far

Good video. Nice to see proper techniques. Most Barbers these days use female cutting techniques on men's hair especially in the UK since the nvq..I was taught a totally different way, similar to yours years before nvq existed . How about a full hair wash and cut and finish video? Do you check for moles and scabs before sliding scissors along the scalp?

Why do I think that an in shop visit will be on the agenda if I ever make it across the pond? As I've #'s times, your eye is trained to see the cut hair while mine isn't quite there yet. But I'm getting there! BTW, did your friend (CMC) ever announce who the winner of his little contest was?

Does the angle of the comb change as you work down doing scissor over comb ? Like is it getting closer to the head and shifting angle slightly?

I feel like starting in the back and moving out to the sides is better than starting on one side and going to the back then to the other side. I think started in the back would make the two sides more similar in length. What do you think?

Great channel, and great explanations. But I really don't like this "natural" look. I like haircuts that are neat and precise. These haircuts are pointless for me, even when recognizing great skill needed to achieve them. I would refuse to pay for such a haircut. Clipper, shorter haircuts over these any time.
