I want to learn for my boyfriend so we can save some money, he has a rounder face than this fellow here, are there any specific shapes that flow nicely on guys with rounder faces and long hair?
His cheek line is a bit too low for my liking. Idk if it naturally grows this way or it's been lowered so much but It should be higher especially for a beard of this length.
Yes we typically like to keep the cheek lines as high as possible as long as the client likes it that way. However with this client his cheek lines grew in a very inconsistent way so we had to bring it down to where it would be a complete line up without any holes.
I have a similar style to the customer's but it feels too angular, and square along the bottom. At times one side will start to jut out. Is there a way to soften it without making it too round?
We always recommend blow drying the beard before styling and shaping. This will help with making sure all the hairs and cowlicks are as straight as possible so you can cut them with accuracy. If you still have sticking out use your scissor to free hand it into the shape you desire.
However. I don't understand the forst cuts being from the front going in and down making the back longer than the front back being furthest from the chin.
We do that first cut in the front so we are able to see what the desired length will be and then we go around meeting the sides with the center. When you do that you avoid have a lopsided beard and going back in to make it even and end up having it much shorter.
