I really like that last tarp setup Adam, provides quite a bit of space and offers some options, depending on the weather. Thanks for sharing Jeff

Mint Outdoors Thanks Jeff. There are a lot more ways, but wanted to cover the easiest ones, that give reasonable cover.

Loved this video, well presented without the awful loud music most people tend to add to their videos. I especially liked the last set up. Many thanks for this, I've subscribed👍

Great job. I like the Plow Point and the Baker setups. The 3 x 3 tarps give many options. Thanks. atb Opal

Opal Preston Shirley Thank you. The square tarps are a lot more versatile than the concave cut side versions, and a little more versatile than rectangular ones too.

Stokie Joe Bushcraft Thanks mate. I prefer the last one myself. I've slept out in that in damp, near freezing conditions, and not been bothered by wind or rain. I did have a 5 season sleeping bag and a bivvi bag, but my kit was sill nice and dry too :)

Hi there, Is the Tatonka tarp you use in the video a poly/cotton blend or just polyester? Many thanks. Simon.
@crazysaint222
@crazysaint222 8 лет назад
+Simon Rochford This one was the poly/cotton version. It's much more resistant to thorns and embers from the fire. All the best Adam

Thanks Adam. I am looking for a durable tarp at the moment. One that is ideally resistant to sparks and also under 1.5kg in weight and well made. Would you suggest any other tarps that you think are better than this one? SImon.

+Simon Rochford I've only really used the DD tarps, some silnylon tarps, and the Tatonka. Both the DD and the silnylon ones are more prone to tears and burn holes, so I like to use the Tatonka in the woods as much as possible. My DD also started leaking after 12 months too. Also, I think the cheapest supplier of the Tatonka Tarp 2 TC is Camooutdoors, if you're in the UK. Currently priced at £77.53. Most other places are around £10 higher. I got lucky with mine, and managed to get it for £62, but the company has since closed down.

Hi Adam, I also thought that the DD tarps where pretty poor quality too. Thanks for the info. Simon.

W0lf7749 It's the Tarp 2 TC, which is 3m x 2.85m (9'10" x 9'4" approx)
