Thus, the last 25 years of internet growth and so called "scientific research". Which recently suffered a big setback and widespread public exposure with a fake research paper being submitted by a group of let's say "curious researchers" for peer review and being accepted for approval. Though, one shouldn't generalize and assume all is for not within the research community, but it should set off some warning bells for future reference.
