I just discovered your channel and I've been enjoying a bunch of your videos. You seem like a guy that appreciates the right tool for the job. Google "bicycle cable pullers". They're intended to pull stranded bicycle cables tight while compressing the cable housing. They work absolutely perfect for pulling zip-ties. I'm sure you have a bicycle enthusiast friend that owns a pair for you to check out before you buy some. If not, just stop by a bicycle shop and ask the mechanic if he has a tool for tightening zip-ties. He'll immediately reach for his cable pullers. They work from the tiny little 1/8" wide zip-ties all the way up to about 1/2".

Hi John I was experimenting with electronics, I built a nice flight computer however I am using solid core 22 wag wiring. They are kind of ok, but looks like too rigid. Which wires do you use normally? As always great video and great workshop!

I prefer stranded wire and would use 20-22ga for most of this stuff. Electric matches use solid core wire (24ga?) and you have to be careful not to nick them when stripping.

@@JohnLCoker Yes I know what you mean, doing that on a recovery charge would be... well not good. Thank you for your reply. Your videos has been really useful, I cannot say enough thanks, I also took some advices for the workshop area. I have limited space but, I am doing good choice based on your guidelines. Have a nice day John!

Hi John, very informative video. I am interested in the Schurter switch and was wondering where you buy these. The only place I found them online had a minimum order of 100. Thanks.

Jeff Jones They're available from standard electronics suppliers (Mouser, Digi-Key, etc), but also from hobby rocketry retailers such as Apogee and Aerocon. www.apogeerockets.com/index.php?main_page=product_supplies_info&cPath=52_159&products_id=71 aeroconsystems.com/cart/switches/through-mount-slotted-switch/
