Model Railway Signalling made easy! In this video I will briefly go over Track Circuit Block and polish up a few things that wasn't understood from the last video about Absolute Block.
I will also show a little of whats been going on on the model railway along with some exciting news in which you may get to see the layout for yourself!

Ignore the d--kheads who just want to criticise. They've never learned that just because something enters their head there's no need to verbalise it. They're just attention seeking, but they don't even realise it. They actually think people need to hear their whinging. If they had anything valuable to contribute they'd be producing videos themselves, but invariably if you check their channels there's no content at all... Thanks for your effort to explain things...

Hi, is it just the engine that triggers the block signalling or does it encompass the whole train?

Any wheelset that is on the section of track within the 'track circuit' will be detected. So if you are propelling a rake of coaches, as soon as the first set of wheels of the first coach enters the track circuit it will be detected. In its simplest form the rail vehicle 'shorts out' an electric circuit containing both running rails and containing a relay and the indication goes from line free to line occupied. Things get more complicated where the trains are powered by electricity as on a model railway. The simplest train detection I have seen is to set up a light beam across a track (source on one side and detector on the other) when a train comes the beam is broken and this can be made to turn the signal red.
