Thanks for checking out my video! I wanted to give an overview of some of my favorite pairs of raw denim jeans.
If you're just getting started, you can't go wrong with either APC or Momotaro (though it's hard not to love the extra story and details in the Momotaros).

Great review. Completely agree with all said regarding your Momotaros and Iron Hearts. I have the same challenges with the slow fading process for both pairs. Slowly but surely. Great vid!

Nice video! I haven't tried Momotaro, but I do have Oni and Tanuki and Samurai (Shorts) and they are all great brands!

Cool video! I’ve been wearing raws for the past decade, started with APC and Nudie. I thought they were great... UNTIL I went Japanese. Went though 3 pairs of Oni’s for the past 6-7 years. Bought some Studio D’Artisan early this year (February) entirely on fit. Just picked up some Momotaro with the battle stripe to wear in rotation with my SDA’s since I notice they have started fading pretty quickly despite not wearing them much since mid March (lock down). Also in NYC! Cheers!

@@digitallyhandmade6727 ONIs are amazing, love the slubbt texture. Only reason I don’t wear them anymore is because I lost significant weight last year. Decided to branch out with other brands. I’ll be back to ONIs one day. 😀

I'm that 501's guy! Over the last 6-months I've been whittling down which brand to buy, I have a list of 9 still! I love that some brands offers a lifetime repair guarantee as it is an investment for alot of us. I'm a 50+ viewer, so the white stripes on the back of the momotaros is visually a little uncomfortable for me... I think I'll go for a pair of the Samurai's or should I...... Errrr Lol! P.s.. I own Pure Blue for summer, Momotaro for Autumn and Iron Heart for winter. So light weight, medium weight and heavyweight. Would recommend.

Just a beginner's note, Weight doesn't necessarily correlate to warmth its about how tight the weave is, cool collection!

I have the same momotaros and they are awesome.. Mine are getting pretty tight on the upper leg so I can't wear them as much as I would like.

Hi, I am interested to buying Iron Heart Jeans 555 or 777,for me only option is tu buy online frome IronHeart site.Can you tell me whats the waist size of your jeans,because you mention in your cause is better to go 31 inch. Hi, Digitally Handmade! Love your videos, especially about Visvim) I have a question... You said that raw denim should be with self edge. but what do you think about visvim raw denim with no self edge?

Thanks for the comment! I actually have a pair of Visvim raw jeans with no self-edge (the 04), and I really like them! They are another go-to pair of jeans, especially in the fall.

Me too! I tend to go a little bit lighter though, and wear my Momotaro's/APC instead of my Iron Hearts

Dan Aughney I’ve never really gotten into Edwin denim. I’ve held one pair before and they seemed to be nice quality though

DigitallyHandmade thanks I was just wondering because I recently saw a few pairs that I liked, I was thinking of buying them and I was just wondering if they still made good quality even out of there made in Japan line because I know the have a good story and they have been around for some time but I thought mabey the quality went down. Hi Dan, I'd like too just add that I'm a traditionalist and think nothing looks better than a pair of great jeans, a pair of great boots ( I always make sure there polished} and a great white T... The Edwin white T-shirts are fantastic. Here in the UK I can get 2 for £30,-, I'd recommend you give them a try.
