You see, this is the perfect Eurovision song. Good enough that people will love it and someone's gonna make a lot of money off it, but not good enough to win the contest. That way, Denmark can do well in the competition but they won't have to spend tons of money on hosting the next one.
And this is the reason because i don't like it. I don't like Bruno Mars and so i don't like this ! Sorry Denmark, but you were not the winner 2013, that was Norway in my opinion ! :-/
We are so proud of that guy in Denmark, and we stand by our choice. This guy has been through so much in his life, and has worked so hard to be where, he is today.I was in the arena at the selection, and he completely won people over with this cool, happy and cheerful song and his obviously fantastic personality. I hope he'll do well on home turf, he truly deserves it. GO BASIM! :)
lolololol sorry but comparing this guy to Bruno mars is like comparing WILL FERRELS singing with Michael Jackon's :))) This is a nice cute song, but isnt even close to Bruno Mars sorry :)))) Bruno mars is where he is because of his HUGE voice and tallent for composing, this guy Basim is singing a baritone level, Bruno mars is HIGH TENOR!!! :) I know because i am a singer also and my level of singing is a Baritone/tenor. This guy is cool, he moves well, has charisma, sings well, and the song is upbeat and positive but you can NOT compare this to Bruno mars ;)
Don't know why people are not supporting him JUST because he sounds like Bruno Mars. He took part in the 2008 X Factor in Denmark and sounded like Bruno Mars then as well. Just because he sounds like someone does not mean that he is copying them. This is a great song with a catchy variation of tunes and that sweet little whistle in the middle of it seals the deal. Denmark to win again, love from Great Britain :)
It's not that I don't like it but such an obvious influence just makes me roll my eyes. I can see it placing well. But it is tiring when there are so much more room for creativity. It's just that Eurovision calls for really original~ sounds like the Georgian song or really generic songs like the Austrian one.
Ahhhh. I remember a few years Ago when My Class was in a final of some kind of Danish game. (We Were the only Danish class from a Danish School in germany) and we Got 3rd place. He was there and sung that song that Day and everybody was so exited and happy. Never forget that Day.

France sounds good... Live quality is a bit crap, but hopefully it will be better in ESC. I have to admit, Denmark sounds too "easy", but I find it nice (not my favourite though). And Greece well... Couldn't stand it at first, now it's not so disgusting. But I still find it quite freak...
Abel Carrasco Vidal France is my personal favorite this year for upbeat songs. I think I don't like this one because they DO sound like Maroon 5, and I don't happen to like Maroon 5. It is NOT my style.
itsjemmabond Aye he is trying so hard to rip off Bruno Mars. Yet he does not have the voice for it. He is simply not good enough. He is not talented nor skilled enough to stand on his own nor entirely copy someone else. And yes Basims voice is not terrible, but it is not on par with real professionals. Although there was a lot less (I couldn't pick up any at least) lip-syncing and auto-tune this time, so points for that.
GUYS Basim came before Bruno Mars.........if you dont belive me then Google it. I am not saying that anyone copied anyone, BUT just because this song is funky and Catchy dosent mean that its been copied by one of Bruno Mars´s songs.

I don't know what Basim's first single was, but I'm sure I listened to his Jeg Vil when I was just at junior middle school (I'm a college student now), and that's one of my favourite minority language songs.
It's funny, because in Denmark, Basim was well-known before Bruno Mars, yet everyone compares them. Basim kind of looks like him, but he is not trying to copy him at all. He's himself.
I find it really odd that everyone seems to think that Basim is a Bruno Mars clone. Oh well, you apparantly can't sing a pop song, wear a suit and have a sort of afro without being a clone. o.k then
I don't understand how somebody with such a total lack of stage presence and charisma could have been given this kind of playful, crooner song. He just can't pull it off.
Basim has learned to sing and even the dancers' steps where they kind of woodpeckers with their legs perfectly suited to this sweet and lovely little song from Denmark.
Basim i think i love you this is the BEST song in the contest and all the people in my party started singing with you last night. Bruno Mars is my no 1 singer but you are taking his plays with your perfect smile and singing. LOVE the song and the perform and i think you should have won the contest. And btw best Eurovision song contest EVER it was breathtaking from a-z.

The song is very nice and that guy song IT BEAUTIFULLY LOVE THE TUNE AND i DANCE TO THE MUSIC WHILE SINGIN. Indeed he is the Bruno Mars Equivalent of Europe. Basim is great.
This is actualy a good song, For me, the best one at eurovision, It so deserved to get on the top 3. Some people say this is boring, but really? This sounds like something that would be a top single nowaday. This is a fantastic song.
