+Mrdavid I frickin love Eurovision. Alexander Rybak (Norway, 2009) got the highest score EVER. And Sweden won this year. Plus last time Denmark won (2013, I think?) the song, Teardrops sung by Emilie DeForest, was the most freaking beautiful thing I'd ever heard. +snowstar1331 I want Eurovision in America, with all 50 states competing! Let's make it happen! I don't care how it's structured as long as it's an original song competition instead of people singing other people's songs. It would be instantly better than any other talent show because we get to hear new songs rather than old ones. If I wanted to hear old songs I'd listen to the professional that 9 times out of 10 is way better than an amateur, it never made sense to me.

As a Dane I don't think we have came close to an entry that's better than this since, Emmelie is a great performer and I love the sounds and instruments used in the performance aswell as the staging itself, 🇩🇰❤️
They also did a lot to make the good things shine. Like very silent and little music to let her voice shine. And always putting her in the center of attention in front of everybody else. Also they had little things going on in the performance so that we are concentrated towards the music.
+Che Guevara If you want more of the awesome drums, try searching for "Copenhagen Drummers". It's a group of four drummers(Two of them are the ones on stage with Emmelie here) who were gaurdsmen for the queen of Denmark. They won Denmark's Got Talent if I remember correctly.

Strange. Eurovision 2019 has so many ballads, they are good, but nothing special. "Only teardrops" is the definition of what it means special. Meaningful lyrics, unique melody and full of feelings. I got chills. Plus, she is such a sweet little sunshine 😊.

It was this rare time, when almost all songs were perfect. 2013 is very unusual year for esc in my opinion. And it's difficult to say that exactly only teardrops was the best song, but i like it a lot
She is always smiling and at the end of the song she was going to say thank you but she didn't because of excitement she was so cute. She deserved the winning.
This is one of those rare Eurovision-winning pop songs that has actual balls and is worth listening to over and over again. Denmark chose correctly in 2013 and "Only Teardrops" is one of the top ten best Eurovision winning songs out there.
As a Dane, it's so amazing listening to this song. Not only the nostalgia, but the fact that it isn't only a song Danes vibe to, but the whole world has at some point! It makes me so proud.
