I always seem to be busy on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Or I forget. Your videos are great learning tools. I wish more officials from the Greater St. Louis area would watch your channel and watch videos of their games. We can always learn
At 49:47 when Trail gets a foul vs. Center calling OOB violation - shouldn't the Trail get together with the Center to confirm ruling before going to the table to report the foul?
I suppose you could, but if Trail comes in from that far away, as loud and confident as he did, I don’t think a conference between officials is necessary. This wasn’t a difference in fouls or who knocked the ball out of bounds. This was a call overruling the out of bounds with a foul happening before the out of bounds violation even occurred.
On the free throw step in at the 28 minute mark… would we do the same if we allowed the thrower to step in on an inbounds before releasing the ball? I think it’s definitely a black and white rule on this basic of a thing.

But if the free throw is missed, and you have a foul, how can you not recognize the violation allowing a substitute throw? You can’t ignore it just because two infractions happened. The ball isn’t dead after the violation as it would be delayed.
But we must take into account the state of the ball, when penalizing, if the referees whistle for the violation of the free throw, it is automatically a dead ball and everything that can happen is canceled unless there is a technical foul. , unsportsmanlike, intentional, and/or fragrant.
