Last week and the week before I visited Rietvlei dam in Pretoria and was blessed with two 10kg carps on both occasions. I recorded this video across the two sessions.
The first session was from 6am - 3pm and the second session was 48 hours. In this video I do not use a lot of different baits and dips. I changed them up but did not experiment with everything in my box. I came to realize that when the fish are on the bite at Rietvlei then it does not seem to matter what's on the ball. I did notice that they preferred the floaties to maize.
