I didn't know people still use the Mias name. My grandfather born in 1902, was a Mias. I used to catch a bit of carp with my dad from time to time, but usually, we only fished bass. Back then you just put the hook in the pap or mielies and let it lay until you get a bite. I noticed the closer dams to me are all full of carp, so trying to learn again.
I have a real question about the chalets. How on earth do you book them??? I can't find any info about it. And which ones were you guys staying in, Oom Louw?

Your Dips are PVA friendly, covering half of the Mesh PVA with the dip as shown in this video, doesn't that prevent the PVA bag from NOT melting, or prolong the process of melting? where in the end your pop up rig is covered with half a PVA not wanting to melt and gives a slimy texture that could implicate your hook presentation ?
