Man once I see some guys saying that tom bass is used to avoid the friction between guitar and drum. (That explain why tom plays the same guitar riffs on it)
That’s one reason that I like Hell Awaits more that RIB.....Toms bass is up in the mix and you can hear it clearly!👍🏽😎🔥 Excellent job dude! You nailed it!!🔥🔥💀💀😎👍🏽
Yeah ^, and his playing in the actual studio recording is a bit sloppy, possibly why its pretty much inaudible. You can’t blame him though, his vocals are top notch!
Why would ppl dislike his cover it's badass and the fact he did a cover should be appreciated by it self. Thx brother for hard work and time you put in to putting these covers out. Your a monster!🤘🔥😎
From the finger picking, to the facial expressions to the music, to the great camera work and editing, this honestly is a perfect video. I’m subbing now
However, this bass cover follows the guitars more than the actual bass track does. Tom Araya's bass playing is more simplistic, and, in Reign In Blood particularly, sloppy.
The "Riff" part as it was called, is probably one of the heaviest riffs (besides the middle section of Pantera's Domination) in the history of metal, and the best era for Slayer by far. Very well done cover, it's nice to actually hear the bass in Slayer songs, bravo!!
@@gregkunkel8704 Oh hell yeah, I been trying to get my dad to let me record him playing a bass cover of that since the original is one of his favorite songs he still plays about twice a week on his 64 Gibson EB-3 but he don't like Slayer and thinks I'm open to getting sued playing covers on RU-vid.
That bloodcurdling, hair-raising, spine-tingling uber-shriek at the beginning still puts a big happy grin on my face every time I hear it. When I first heard that, mind you, it scared the daylights out of me! Lord UND is right; if there had been actual low end on this record, it would've have been even better than it already is.
Looks like a hybrid of some Steve Harris finger attack and PURE AGRESSION!!!! Great stuff buddy. I play a fretless fender jazz and a fretless p bass for everything. Metal is MORE METAL ON FRETLESS!!!. 😎
Chris R where was that? After kill em all, ride the lightning and master of puppets newsted came on board and was mixed and mastered off of the justice album. The black album had a few moments of audible bass and then....well no need to speak of load and reload.
Massive like! Incredible finger work at such a fast tempo while making it look effortlessly easy hahaha great job! Totatlly love it while also bobbing you head. Your really into it!
Good job !
HOLY F~~K...!! Nephew... Cousin... THAT was by far the best damn "cover" of A.O.D. I've evvvvvvveerr seen..!! F-in' Nailed IT..! and look at the "like count"... Hmmmmm.... looks like im a tad early... by 3..? phheeww... that was a close one...!
This is the first time I've seen a bass cover of Slayer. I even wondered - what does Slayer's bass player look like? I don't remember this dude. I already started googling and then "Oh...yeah."
I LOVE THIS SHIT BRO!! Mate I've just started playing bass again after about 22 years of "life" getting in the way. I look to you for my inspiration. You are a TOTAL DAMAGE DOER brother and I thank you for putting in so much work for all of us out here in youtube land.
