I was introduced to you in the winter of 2017 I believe before the season started up again in NY metro area, and spent so much time watching your videos to scratch that itch, and when asked why your name was what it is, instead of the simple explanation of you are from Texas, he pulled my chain and said that you are renowned for catching big fish on “forks” with treble hooks attached. That’s exactly what I did, picked up a silverware set of different size forks, bored out holes in either 2 places or 3 along the stem of a fork and attached split rings and treble hooks. I’m always up to a challenge and just dreamt of how weird and exciting it would be to catch Hog Largemouth on a literal fork rig. I fished my “Fork Rigs” all summer of 2017 long from the bank. That summer using an Oyster Fork rig, I caught my PB Largemouth, Smallie, and Chain Pickerel(I don’t target them but I don’t complain cause they put nice fights because of their lateral length). All of those records still hold up today almost 6 years later of fishing all spring, summer, fall, and ice fishing in the winters. Amazing. My IG account that had all those videos/pics of my Forkin awesome summer got hacked and eventually banned from Instagram I assume from scamming others. I wish I had those pictures and videos still. Thanks @lakeforkguy. 6 years later and you still produce 🔥 content and I’ve grown so much as a fisherman from watching your videos and reading your posts.

I was out fishing for crappies the other day and caught like 6 bass within 40 minutes using a crappie jig! Would've stayed longer had I not lost all my jigs 😅

What brand of braid do you use if you dont have the googan braid tied on? Ive never been one to use braid and I'm wanting to try something else out! Loving the videos lately on all the crappie madness.

LFG I’ve been killing it on my channel with finesse underspins and small swimbaits. Another killer all around bait I’ve started slaying with this spring is a tiny keitech spin jig with 2” swimbait trailers. Had a monster on with a snacky swimmer Tuesday. I’ve caught everything from 5-7 lb bass to 12” crappie on those jigs and BFS on my channel. It’s a blast! I’m gonna be using y’all’s snacky swimmers and 2” bandito bugs as trailers more often I think now 🤘🏽. Nice trip as always 🤙🏽

A 1/4 oz weighted slip bobber really casts like a dream, and it is more sensitive to light bites because the fish doesn't feel it as much

I am struggling man. I haven’t caught a fish in about a year. Last summer I just kinda decided to take a break. Now getting the rods out I’ve been several times this month and last month and haven’t caught a single fish. I did hook one but it came off. Just waiting to get one. Only a matter of time.

Man, I love my micro rod! I have the green series 7 ft 2 piece with the reel, I can chuck a 1/16 oz rooster tail as far as I throw a bass jig. It's nuts! On a side note what braid do you use bud!? I've been wanting to look into braid myself

I keep losing tails on the snacky swimmer on every cast. Gills nip it and the tail is gone.

15lb. braid talk about overkill. I use 4lb fluorocarbon for Crappie and Bluegill.
