Bass Fishing Lake Chesdin for the first time in YEARS!

I fished Chesdin a lot when i was a kid for Crappie with the occasional bass thrown in. As an adult I have left the lake to the skiers and such, moving on to greener pastures. My good friend Mike argues that it is the best bass fishery in the state of Virginia. I beg to differ but am willing to give it a look to see what he is talking about.

My home lake, born and raised on it. Its funny seeing all the neighbors and friends boat docks and houses I know, including my dad's, and seeing what type of fish they hold. Awesome video 👍

@@WAEofFishing yep, right across from the point with the Tiki Bar. That point shoots way out into the lake there and lots of guys fish it along the weedline and off shore. The bass you caught on the point on the other side of that cove most likely came off the submerged rock pile I built off of it in 2010 during the huge drought that ran the lake down to almost the original river bed. I've caught some nice ones over the years hanging around those docks down in that cove. Will look for more uploads from you!

Finesse is the way to go. I rarely throw anything big & I have 3 citations this year including a 8-4 & a 8-13.

Chic lake can be a cruel mistress. Frog, punching and senko. That's a hard lake with all the grass tho

Get with me this spring I go and catch them in the spawn and catch some huge bass I fish chesdin a lot and love to slow finesse and pick it apart

That video was awesome bass fishing has really taken over as my favourite type of fishing and I really enjoy your videos of bass fishing I’ve learned quite a bit I usually target trout.
