Jacob Wheeler started with a buffer of more than 30 pounds over second place, giving him plenty of room to explore for Saturday’s Knockout Round. By lines out, Wheeler’s lead shrunk a little bit, with more than 23 pounds over second place with 48 bass weighing 107 pounds, 9 ounces.
Meanwhile, the elimination line was tighter than ever and the angler to advance was determined by biggest single bass caught. Jared Lintner and Andy Montgomery tied for 10th place with 70-10 each, but Montgomery’s biggest catch was a 4-9 while Lintner’s was 3-0.
