Honestly one of the coolest music videos ever, and what a vocal talent! Thoroughly enjoyed. Anything else by Noa I should watch and analyze?

She did all of this live twice in eurovision semi finals and finals including the dance

It was definitely the Year of the Unicorn! She should have won, but Top 3 is not bad either. Israel always delivers interesting songs to the contest.

"Unicorn" has also VERY meaningful lyrics! (This is my take as an Israeli, but as it is a work of art, it is open to different interpretations, so yours is valid as well! :)) Here are the main points to understand: The song is about the relations between Israel (The "I" in the song) and those who perceive her wrongfully as their enemy (The "You"). To all her neighboring countries, Israel stated time and time again "We are not your enemy!" (In the song "No, I'm not your enemy") Also, the fact that the Jewish ppl are originated from ancient Israel ("Do you want to check my DNA?"), and not a colonial foreign power, as falsely accused by its enemies. As you may know, There is a vicious cycle of violence going on in our region for more than a century that we must break and change ("History caught in a loop, Don't you wanna change it?"), cause Israel is attacked time and time again ("If you're gonna do it, don't do it", ) and is forced to respond. The music also contains elements of the Israeli national anthem - called "Hatikva" - The hope. One of the symbols of Unicorns is Hope and Success, and also strong healing powers. Notice also the colors in the Music Video, they are very meaningful as well! The ceiling is all-red, she wears all-black (Symbols of violence and grief) and switches to colorful outfits when she sings the Unicorn parts from black & white - Those parts represent the hopeful and successful future ("That I won't look back, I won't look down, I'm going up"). The fact that it's all upside-down! (Not a normal reality) They are all very symbolic! Hope all this helps to clarify the lyrics. 😊

Well, reckon the reason it was such a thrill a minute plane ride was because of the competition aspect. I would like to see if she could sing something with more substitutive lyrics. But she does have a wonderful voice. Thanks for letting us know what the different percussion types are. I'm still learning some of that.

If you liked the music video, you should have seen what the live performance for the song during the Eurovision contest itself was like (especially in regards to the dancing and her vocal performance) BTW - you got her name right. Noa kee-rel.

The Unicron nation. 2:The song speaks about moving away from the Holocaust remembrance ethos into a more empowered existence, a "Unicron" one. I kid you not. 3:The blended musical styles are intended to represent diversity as a way for the world to move on from prejudice.

And the lyrics seem nonsense but they actually have a deep meaning (it’s about Israel and the Israel-Palestine ongoing conflict, the power of the unicorn is the healing power of Israel that is represented by her).
