When I started using BassBox I had a really hard time. I looked everywhere for a good tutorial but was only able to find a short series by parts express that wasn't very helpful and tutorials in different languages. I have since self taught myself how to use the program and this video was made to help others.

Since this video was made I've learned more about using the program. Mainly how to better account for interior object displacement and further information on designing a box with a slot port. I will be making a new and improved video covering these topics shortly.

Great video. I have using bassbox many years now and building for myself and friends. That i like in this one how simple it looks when you design 4th order. Your explaning of how to do its was very informative. Hope to see moore videos in future. 😊

That's Awesome! Thank you so much... I actually wanted to build out a 6th order, for my ranger. Super coincidental. I think I'm on the right track. SA 15 v2 d2, but I've only got 1,000 watts to work with, nothing crazy... a daily driver. I think you just saved me a few month's of frustration. Much appreciated. You rock.

I wish I had the knowledge to make a video on 6th order design although that's something I've yet to study extensively. I just posted a video touching on 4th order design. Check it out!

ive been a basshead since the late 80's ive built lots of boxes,one of my favorites was a bandpass that i did not build it was built for me,96 extended cab s10 it was the with of the back seat area but only came up to the arm rest on the center console,it had two jl 12's and a 6 inch pvc for a port and it was only about 4 inches long,it played great on all types of music but when i put in a bass cd omg it came alive,it could handle every song,with the volume turned down just up a few clicks and driving with the windows down some the wind and the box made a really cool sound kinda like a waa waaa waa waaa waaa sound,hard to describe,anyways i have been wanting to build one for a couple yrs BUT i have a mac,theres nothing to help me really,sure i could pay someone but thats no fun.i have some sundown sd3 8 inch subs,i have a x12 and i have a nightshade in my blazer right now but want to get rid of it.any ideas what i can do since i have a mac ? i learned about ebp and 2 :1 ratio's and you can change them to your need's.but i designed one on paper for two of the 8's and using a 4 inch pvc port it was like 10 -12 inches not sure if thats wrong so i quit,oh well holler if you have any ideas where i can look thanks

Great video! Most helpful coaching for BB6P. I can actually make a box now because of this video! Thanks! One question, can I make a box for 6x9's?

hi there, first of all, thank you so much for this video. I have a question. a have a dd audio 512d d2 sub and bassbox shows in the parameters the sub for closed box not vented. Now, can i still use it in a vented box? i saw in your video your sub is too a little bit in the closed side.

Very helpful info and video despite the length. Training/instruction takes time. I think if you did a several part series, maybe 3 parts, each 10 minutes length, number of views would be much higher. 10 minutes seems to be the magic upper limit for most YT viewers.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree, I felt the video was too long for the average viewer. I've attempted to make a part 2 to this video staying under 10 minutes countless times but can't figure out how to efficiently squeeze the information into a smaller package. A series highlighting all the key factors and program specific challenges might be the way to go. Much appreciated feedback!

Hey bud, fellow CO enthusiast here. This tutorial has been so valuable to me, thank you thank you. I just watched it again today as I was looking for one thing, but noticed something else missing. In the beginning, you had a piece where you manually walked through a minimum short list of params then hit Calculate All for the rest. That process has really worked out better for me with overall results and graph goals. It looks like you removed that section from the video, though. Just wondering why.

Hi, i like the video i have one question: How you can tell the program: the box will be for a car like "chevrotet spark" or "chevrolet expedition" or one room of 4x4x2.5M (CxBxA) (i dont speak english at all.)
@caraudioresource3818
@caraudioresource3818 3 года назад
I believe you're referring to telling the program what space the enclosure will be in for cabin gain reasons. I do believe you can change the cabin gain per octave based on the room size. As far as Inputting specific vehicle information (that the program will use to make predictions) that is not a feature that is available. I think I answered your question. If not let me know and I'll try to figure out exactly what you're talking about.

Great video! Only problem I'm having is some of the graphs don't show up I only get 4 or 5 of the graphs, am I missing something?
@caraudioresource3818
@caraudioresource3818 2 года назад
Pretty late to respond here. (Thanks for a good video idea btw). The reason you wouldn't be able to see certain graphs is due to a lack of parameters. Graphs like cone displacement need specific parameters to be generated. Additionally, a handful of graphs require you to tell the program how many watts of power is being applied; cone displacement is one of them. Hope that helps. Thanks for the engagement

Great video...I've been looking for someone to actually do a BBP video in English....can you design a box using the 6th order series bandpass 👍🏼

I can do a video going over the design process and certain things to keep in mind but I don't have much experience with series tuned 6ths and don't feel confident enough to make a comprehensive step by step instructional video

Additionally. I feel confident enough to do a 4th order design video. So if you would be interested in that let me know.

@@caraudioresource3818 that's ok...I've love the program and been using it for a few years...familiar with ported and 4th orders...but would love to get into the 6th order designs...especially the series tuned 6th order....parallel 6th orders seem to be a bit easier to design...but still would love some of your good content with them
@caraudioresource3818

Since this video I've designed and built a handful of series 6th orders. The design process is extensive and requires a lot of math be done by he designer. Given everything is accounted for properly and the enclosure is built according to spec, I've been able to get real world results that match the computer generated response graph
