All the praise and glory to God just shows you the POWER in prayer keep walking with the almighty in everything you do and you will continue to be prosperous in life
I seen this Man in numerous fights referring , I would always tell myself guarantee this a OG veterano respect this guy even more for hearing his story 🤜🏽🤛🏼💯 Great interview Big Gill 👏🏾👏🏾
Nice to meet you carnal & good to see Raza doing good. Me myself I'm from El Monte Flores & have some crazy stories from the late 80's early 90's. Did around 12 years in the joint. I now live in Missouri married, children, Gbabies serve the Lord Jesus own my own business & home. It's nice to see homies from my generation doing good 👍
@deviouslito5011 🥸 your definitely one of those lames that still lives with your mom & goes around trolling people for attention. It's obvious your single & probably has to pay for hookers 😆 & from the sounds of it most likely a fat nasty heffer smelling like fritos & booty juice 🤢. Stop trolling sissy get a job or something stop living off the government do something productive with your life maybe you will find a chick or a man 😳😂
This is the best podcast that I can relate the most. Gil you are doing some firme things. Keep it up. Popeye is a real factual person that is walking in this earth. Gracias to both of you. 🙏
A GREAT INTERVIEW CARNALES , MUCHO RESPETO TO HALL OF FAME REFEREE POPEYE RAY & AMERICAN CHOLO !! I LOVE THE POSITIVE EXAMPLES YOU HOMEBOYS ARE SPREADING !! VIVA MI RAZA !!🇲🇽🇦🇷🥊👍🏽🙏💯
Listening to this bato "american cholo" I can see he doesn't have any Respeto to the Mexicano boxers, Chavez is one of the Best Boxers that ever fought the sport! He's still mad because of the word Chicano! Some will understand what I'm talking about 👊🏽 saludos!
I’m here because I’m a big fan of the sport, didn’t watch because I was a cholo or because I went to prison, in fact I never even got into trouble 😂. My take away from this is that people can change and that regardless of their past it’s never too late. Ray seems like a cool dude that understands what it is to walk with a higher spiritual being be it God or whatever it is that you believe in, he didn’t preach, just gave his thoughts on the subject. That’s a sign of spiritual maturity. Great interview and great show
Much respect to all the veteranos they know how to conduct themselves with respect unlike these other wannabe OGs think they know everything and lived their life they should take notes I remember walking home from school we would always stop by a homies house who’s father is a veterano we enjoyed the story’s he would tell us not just him but other vetes I will never forget the advice and story’s much respect ✊ to all veteranos !
I have a few good homies from Bassett Grande when I moved over here 2 the I.E there were alot of homies from Bassett & we became a bunch of desmadroso 2gether
I've watched many fights that Popeye refd..before this interview I never knew any back round about Ray. We used to say hey check it out the homie with the brotcha is reffing we would trip out how smoothly he would glide around the ring like he was skating ⛸️ 😆respects to him great interview 👍.
1 night I'm at a house party in Azusa trying to drink a beer. All of a sudden 3 vatos from Azusa who shall remain nameless started sticking this other cat from Big Bassett. I shit my pants and didn't even get to finish my beer
My friend Mike Garcia, was at a party new years party with him in 1987 I have a pick Apache from Valinda Flats Grande and Popeye and Beto .., Valinda Flats Grande always got along with BG if Popeye is reading this it takes more than excepting him as your savior, you have to be baptized in the name of Jesus in water for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the spirit of the Holy Ghost!, I to severed my varrio Valinda Flats Grande, but know I serve the lord Jesus Christ!!, I always wonder what happened to the Tula's one of them went to a church in Corona where I ran into him ...
It is the dude, Popeye that was in Chino. My Tio told me about this dude. From what I understand he was a punk in Chino. Real talk‼️ he went crying to the big Homies saying that my Tio was from up north .
Also trained with Bobby Chacon in Sacramento with Will Eddington now I'm a bail agent and a guard at the local welfare Dept and have had a couple of fights there lol my wife says I miss the excitement of the ring.
I was in Nellis..the only numbers that I remember is 606..13 something..and that was back in the early 90s., so don't trip on the homie Popeye about not remembering his YA#..😎
Fact'.We had all the NWLS bitches on their mopeds partying in Bassett, Fabian's Hyna Jacky' Loretta and that little Weta that dressed like Madonna and the rest. Need I say more. The only noise we heard from NWLS was crying and complaining. Jonny Hoss, or is it spelled Haas, crying about getting shot at. Wannabe Boxer Mitch's dad complaining because the vary young Homie knocked Mitch's tooth out and made a necklace out of it and wore it for months. My favorite memories were of us taking over every party in NWLS territory and simply sending them home while we danced with their Hynas. That pretty much sums up the north Whittier Locas.
My pops and uncle would be good to have on the show they from Pacoima started as a car club midnight bread then split up uncle went the the flats when they started my dad remained in the Pacoima projects when they started. The Reyes brothers they where 4 of them played for San Fernando high my uncle played in the penitentiary when he got locked up . My pops just turned 72 .
I was with Spider-Man from Bassett I seen that homie get jumped on by three HOMIES AND HOLD THAT S*** DOWN LIKE A G Goofy from la puente was there BONEHEAD from Azusa that s*** was on and cracking OLD FOLSOM 13 14 15 16
When they get into facts it’s good, which is a very short period, the rest of the time when they are joking around it’s not entertaining at all. They almost seem childish and not funny at all. Don’t think I will be watching this garbage anymore.
