7 rods man? Im just getting into the bfl coangler stuff but everyone has told me no more than 6 and try to get it down to 5. im not downing the 7 because id love to take 7, just feel like they would stay tangled too much to fish at my full potential.

i saw that you use Gamma fishing line, just so you know my family owns the Gamma line business so if you ever need it i can hook you up with it.( no pun intended) and when your at icast make sure to stop at the gamma booth, there are two, one fly fishing and one general tackle. i wish i was at icast this year. but next year i will.

Ots sounds like to many pre conceived ideas.Did you talk to your boater,do you know the lake at all.Water clear stained,I would have maybe 3 rigged and 3 ready to rig.Conditions dictate what to fish(and the boater,fast or slow)before I make those decisions.Hey not trying to bash just some thoughts.Good luck.

Oneida lake is my hometown lake along with Bartel road bait and tackle being just down the road. Was at the weigh ins and was pretty crazy to see a youtuber I've followed for a while walk across the stage. Didnt expect that one haha

How come everyone's starting to use braid on spinning gear? Is it backing or what? I know 1rod uses yellow braids and has fluorocarbon leaders. But why?

More sensitivity. Floro and braid has a lower stretch than mono.. Braid has zero stretch, Floro has low stretch. You can see braid underwater, Floro is transparent underwater... Soooooooo lol use Floro for the leader then braid for main line. I made the switch about a month ago, I don't think I'm ever going back
