It was really nice to hear this at game awards today, I wasn't expecting that

My daughter came home from school today, telling me her teacher played a song by someone called "Bastards". After some questioning, finally figured out she was talking about Bastion, and it was this song. Her music teacher played this song as part of her class. I just thought that was pretty cool.

This song alone pays for whatever the games costs you.

The first time you hear it: Ungodly Beautiful Hearing it once you've gotten through most of the game: Still beautiful, but also terrifying.

"So build that wall and build it strong, 'cause we'll be there before too long." It's somehow mocking, menacing and haunting all at once.

Darren is a fantastic songwriter. Ashley and he have the voices of angels.

So glad to see this song get the spotlight it's deserved for years tonight in that incredible medley at The Game Awards Thank you for your artistry and musicianship every time, Darren & Ashley!

BASTION'S SOUNDTRACK IS SO GOOOOOD

I remember playing the game expecting nothing really and on this level when you hear the humming I just put the controller down and just listened in awe. It was like a perfect moment in time I will never forget

Okay, I want to know how we got the Build That Wall/Enemy remix at the game awards. That was just amazing and completely unexpected. Bastion came out almost 10 years ago so this had to be a request from imagine dragons for Mr. Korb. I know I would.

If Johnny Cash were alive, he would sing this. It has a lot of the elements he likes in his music.

This scene in the game is just so soothing and dreamy 😭😭😭 I can still remember how emotional I was when I first encountered this song!

Gonna have to replay Bastion just to hear this song in context for the goosebump factor. This was a lighting in a bottle moment for Darren and Ashley. This is such a sublime piece.

I played this game in 2011 and now almost 12 years passed

I didn't realize how much fun this game was. It took me forever to finally play this. I'm glad I did

I kinda regret I didn't play that game earlier, because I'm not usually interested in short indie games, but I did play Hades last year and loved it so I thought Bastion could be worth a try since it's the same devs, plus I felt like I needed a chill game because of personal issues. And as soon as I met Zia for the first time and heard her sing I immediatly recognized Ashley Barret, since she also voiced and sang as Eurydice in Hades. Now I just finished Bastion and man, I don't regret having bought the game at all, even though I had trouble following the lore and story because I focused on the gameplay and couldn't really keep up with the narrator, still a masterpiece from great devs

I had this game installed on my playstation for free for years and played it on and off until a couple of weeks ago when i decided to play it from a slightly older lense and now im obsessed and almost 100% the game. After finding out transistor (a game i played on and off too) was made by supergiant games i knew what to do and now i intend to buy hades 1 and 2

This is such a beautiful song. Also side quest? There is a song I just heard that has the lyrics "oh try to break me only you can save me." which has a VERY similar melody to Zia's theme if not the same only more rock sounding. I am trying to find it but no luck.

A good song can be interpreted in many ways. It can be fear, sadness or failure, singing to you and telling you how futile your coping with reality actually is. As just around the corner there's a disaster of such proportions that will break down all of your defences. Even teases you with freedom ''someday your bird is gonna fly'', which can be seen as ''your death''. Different take can be having a narcisstic or arrogant attitude, which is the wall itself. And it's lonliness singing to you, mocking your absent sex life with ''someday your bird is gonna fly''. Or it's changes that sing to you, no matter how static and unmovable you think you are, they will come as it's the nature of the universe. Entropy. It can also be seen as squable between lovers, with the voice having some hope in returning to previous state but being fatalistic in assuming that before the relationship has any chance of surviving, the lovers will become strangers again. You can feel the invisible walls build up as the relationship deteriorates, you step very carefully as not to fall in one of the trou-de-loups that ends it. Or indecision. A missed oportunity of not taking any action in overanalyzing a specific situation that requires instant solution. Deep, deep song. Edit: One more for fun, It can also be a tale of a fox hunting near a city diggin holes and being annoyed about people building walls as he tries to hunt down the hens.

This songs combined with Enemy Imagine Dragon, just perfect.
