Bastion was a game that I first pirated, then went out of my way to buy, because it was so good. This song, honestly is something that is just pure nostalgia, carrying Zulf instead of letting him die.

I get chills within the two seconds of this tracks. Bastion is, I think, one of the first games, where I felt any real emotion towards what was happening on the screen, and there is no doubt in my mind that Darren Korb's absolutely fantastic OST is the reason I came to appreciate games with good music and good story.

No song is as hopeful for the future and bittersweet for the past at the same time, fight me.

I like the ending of this game. How if you don’t choose to continue instead of turning back time you’re just back where you started and everyone made the same mistakes that led to the calamity essentially stating that there’s no way to change the flow of time and all we can do is push forward.

So a few years ago I was on my way to the airport, returning home from my exchange. I was messaging goodbyes to my new friends. Right then, this song shuffled from my playlist. I broke down pretty bad.

I will never forget finishing this game, feeling that emptiness that comes after the end of an amazing story, and then this song just BLASTED into the credits. It was spectacular.

These two showing up at the game awards to perform yesterday to my total surprise was the best Christmas present I've ever gotten.

Because it's the Supergiant Games' YT channel, i can say it. I bought the game because this music. I listened it so many time, that one day I bought the game on PC. And it was an amazing experience. So the next game was Transistor. And I don't regret it. And my next game on Switch will be Hades. Thank you. For real.

The perfect culmination and combination of the earlier tracks creates the most timeless harmony.

Still one of my favorite video games of all time. Everything in this game was incredible. There are only two issues. 1. I cannot re-experience it again, and 2. I wish it had lasted longer.

I remember buying this game on launch day, playing it relentlessly for days. Reaching the end and hearing this song was almost a religious experience. To this day, Bastion was, without a doubt, the best game to come out of Xbox’s Summer of Arcade.

I used to play this song a lot in Osu! and instantly fell in love with this song. Later, I found out that the song and the character is from a game called Bastion and about a year later I played the game. Just now I finished it, and when this song came on in the ending, I was about to cry because this song meant so much to me even before the game.

If you have no context, this is just a cool song But, with the context of the game, this is an incredibly emotional

God damn I love this track. I actually found the OST before the game and when I picked up Bastion I wasn't disappointed. Even cosplayed the kid after!

Hearing Zia and Zulf on the same melody reminds me of how war tears everyone apart. I wonder who they would've been is not for this.

I've played hundreds of games but this one's soundtrack has always hit the hardest. There's nothing like looking at the result of your final choice, and hearing this song as it slowly fades away into the end credits. By far the best song I've ever heard

One of only 3 examples in gaming where a company actually knows how and when to put some real, true lyrics into any part of their OST. While I wasn't a fan of Bastion's gameplay, I absolutely adore the usage of this song within the game, it and the story redeem this game.

Coming back after few years when i first was introduced to supergiant's games. I'm only upset i can never reexperience the ending of this story again after a second playthrough. The first time playing this scene made me cry so hard as i was walking land in desperation of not dying.

I can listen to this over and over again, and it never gets old. I don't know why, but that's how it is lol

I just wanted to let you guys know that Bastion has my all-time favorite videogame soundtrack; I quite possibly play it more than all other game soundtracks combined, and this is the song from it that makes me feel the most. I beat the game over 10 years ago and this always brings me back to the moment I beat it. I can't express the nostalgic feeling this powerful song gives me.

Overall Hades is probably the best game from Supergiant so far (better than many other AAA titles for me) but Bastion will always be a special game to me, the way the story and atmosphere just sucked you in and left an impression that few media can replicate

I just beat the game and I loved it!!!! The music is amazing😍😁 I was a little thrown off by the choices at the end though, but still really fun!

I left Zul and did Restoration just a moment ago... Beautiful song :) And well, since I binged the game, the time that ZulF* was with me was very VERY short, seemingly. In IRL time anyways. * (see, I don't even know his name properly, he was THAT unimportant to me) And, in that short amount of time he hijacked and boarded our home and lived like a parasite, then got a book that only he could read, didn't cooperate with it, then left and betrayed & then freaking INVADED us (which killed MY beautiful SQUIRT, how dares he?!), and then even stole our girl... Like... What?? Yeah, nah fam. Toodles bitch, you stay dead, and don't worry, since the beginning of the story, our quest was to restore the Bastion, and because Ruck knew what for - and since he MADE IT - yeah, the quest from the start was to turn back time and undo the calamity and the war. So I did that. You're good, and alive, and thank me in the next life. And while I do all that, you can lie there on the floor and rethink your awful actions. On the subject of Zia, though... Yeah, I kinda simped. Even got the game itself because I heard "her" song (waaAAy too many times... Like, that song needs a restraining order haha) on RU-vid first :) Buuut, the simping is not the only thing required in that relationship. The gramps is the OG here, and it's basically his (Ruck's) story, we just help develop it. He's the narrator. Hell, he might've already heard or lived this story a few times by turning back time, or he might've even BEEN the kid ("reminds me of myself when I was a kid" + he knows everything in vivid detail, but how when we know from the dream sequences that the protagonist/the kid/we are not the talkative type). Anyhow, just theories here, from a great and fun story and game ^^ But, alas, yes. Simping ain't enough, and she left, for Zulf non-the-less, soooo... Gramps gets the Restoration ending.
