Thank you for creating art Natasha... Your music has been a big part of my life for 13 years now and "Kids In The Dark" is already up there with your finest songs and I keep coming back to it over and over again. I enjoy listening to it especially while driving right after sunset... I'm so excited for the rest of "Lost Girls", I pre-ordered it on the first day of the announcement.

Fur and Gold came out when I was 15 and I remember watching What's a Girl to Do video late night on MTV (thankfully I suffered from insomnia!) and it was love at first listen, something I've never felt with music. And now here I am, nothing changed, I turned 28 three days ago and after 13 years and 5 albums I'm still here loving this more than ever. ❤ I'm not kidding when I say that her art changed my life.

I remember these new year holidays, when I and my husband went to St Petersburg on a night train from Moscow. When the main lights were switched off and I was staring at the window trying to get sleepy, THIS song came up on my phone randomly and it perfectly fell into place! I just put in on repeat and it was pure magic)

Natasha is an artist that can recreate an emotion so masterfully that you suddenly find yourself in that moment, experiencing that feeling again. As if you traveled through time. Kids in the dark? Yeah! I remember! I had almost forgotten... Thank you for reminding me.

This song carried me through all of the pandemic but also inspired me to become a producer myself. For a while I felt lost trying to make music on my own, wondering how I could succeed in this industry as a woman. I already work as a designer in the field so I know first hand the sexism and setbacks you get when being a woman in entertainment. Khan is an absolute visionary and when I discovered Bat for Lashes was a solo act of her creation it refueled my passion to do this work. Lost Girls is a perfect album and this song encompasses so many feelings. I've listened to this crying, falling in love, moving across the country, breaking up, on my late night drives, at parties and in so many other scenarios. No wonder it was my most listened to song of 2020! Thank you for this art, thank you for this album and thank you for inspiring me. If you tour when the pandemic is over expect me in the front row!

It feels great to hear you after all these years of listening to you. Things have changed and my circumstances as well. I took time off to make a film for five years in Mumbai. Your music always traveled with me. I listen to it now with couple of months left in art school in London. Central Saint Martins has been messy a journey but one that made sense at the time. I am listening to you after all of that. Something in me still remains the same. Thank you Bat for Lashes.
