GENE BARRY was the Miller Beer voiceover star from the '80's. The crooked fight promoter guy did LEVI'S JEANS animated "HEY, LITTLE TRADEMARK" spots' v.o.'s in the 70's or '80's.

@@gi_silva6832 Concordo em parte. Nos EUA, na Inglaterra e na Austrália, o número de pessoas que conhecem outro idioma (fora os imigrantes), é mínimo. Na França então, se você pedir socorro em inglês não será socorrido. Mas é bom sim, conhecer outros idiomas e claro, de 45 para cá, o que vale é o inglês..

No surprise. And Hugh O'Brian's version of Wyatt Earp was 180 degrees different from the real Earp. Doris Day's "Calamity Jane" (1953) wouldn't even be recognized by those who knew (and smelled) the real frontier gal. I believe the quote is attributed to legendary film director John Ford who said something along the lines of " . . . when facts intrude/conflict when writing a book or screenplay, always print the legend."

You're right; over and over Wilke delivers as the scripted villain. (ed. - note please, Wilke NOT Wilkes.) I will digress and share one of his strongest performances: the 1967 pilot for "Cimarron Strip" (1967 - 68 CBS) that when aired as an episode was titled 'The Battleground'. In a mid-episode scene that was wisely and magnificently filmed on location in Las Cruces, NM he plays the territory's biggest rancher, Hardy Miller. From a considerable distance where he's obviously been tending to cattle business on the range, 'Miller' comes galloping into the cattle drover's base camp, dismounts, walks to the chuckwagon and has a ghastly wound on his lower arm -- from a steer's horn -- disinfected and administered to by the Mexican cook who doubles as the First Aid man. Then 'Miller' walks over to Stuart Whitman's 'Marshal Crown' character and delivers a speech that commands the scene and sets up a vital plot point affecting the remainder of the episode. It is a dynamic scene. Wilke owns it. The scenery, the REAL New Mexico cowhands, the solid acting of Whitman, Wilke and other guest players Warren Oates (supporting) and Telly Savalas (guest star), the background music score. In total, this just calls out " W E S T E R N . " . . . . While Wilke continued to play "bad guys" on other programs, he repeated his strong, non-villain 'Hardy Miller' character in a subsequent "Cimarron Strip" episode and had his 'Miller's' referenced in a third. (For the record, wonderful character actor Oates reprised his character 'Mobeetie'.)
