I was on another western site and heard the name Shotgun Slade. I liked Scott Brady on other shows, but don’t really recall these shows. Watching them now and throughly enjoy them ALL.

The Deputy with Henry Fonda , Tales of Wells Fargo with Dale Robertson ,Laramie, Bonanza , Bat Masterson,Are also great shows .

Actually that isn't John Dehner. It's another John...the recently deceased John Stephenson. Each of them had similar physical characteristics and vocal traits but this time it's John Stephenson. A long time voice actor in cartoons, John Stephenson's most popular role is Mr. Slate in the Flintstones series but his voice can be heard in hundreds of Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the 1960s through the 1990s.

WesternsOnTheWeb Actually, looking closer, yes, his belt has shotgun cartridges on the right and rifle cartridges on the left. I’ve seen lots of episodes, this is never mentioned. I stand corrected sir.

too bad they destroyed what would have been a great show with that stupid convoluted storyline . seems they attempted to put some bizarre "twists " into it like the girl being involved then going nuts and getting shot , totally idiotic . all they had to do was keep it simple
