Being a Marathi mulgi, I am in love with this guy!! Not just the recipes but the Marathi accent too! He mentioned that he was brought up in Mumbai and that definitely shows! The way he says बटाटे or वाटण or even काळे मटण with a ण and not न , makes me fall more for him! Keep it up Chef!
I am a Maharashtrian and I make batate pohe every Sunday for breakfast. Just like you, my husband does not like to have only kande-pohe... He wants the potatoes as well. He cuts onions, potatoes, chillies and keeps them ready along with curry leaves every Sunday, before I enter the kitchen 😀
You are Wonderful,@@YourFoodLab!! Just One request. Your Love for Marathi Cuisine is Vivid! Can you Make different Variations of Kande Pohe????? Like you added Potatoes by Mumbai version of Kande Pohe, In Konkan region, we add Coconut and tomato pieces, In Pune region, we add peanuts and Shev In Kolhapur region, we add Misal. In Marathawada region we add Shendanyachi chutney (Garlic Peanut chutney) And in vidarbha region, we add "Tarri" or call it Tarri Poha!!!! Prepare Pohe in large quantity and Make all variations..... We would Love it!!!!!!!
Sanjyot I love all your recipes ❤ I especially loved this video - because you spoke in Marathi so fluently ❤ I’m a Maharashtrian and I love to hear people speaking Marathi as fluently like it’s their mother tongue 🙂 I cook a lot following your recipes. From kebabs to curries 😃 My firangi husband also loves and cooks using some of your recipes especially kebabs. I introduced indo Chinese food to him using your recipes - and now he won’t go back to eating regular Chinese restaurant food here 😅
I love batate Pohe. And yes I am from Maharashtrian family so we make minimum 3 times a week. Simple , fast and very tasty And your Marathi ascent is really awesome खूपच छान संज्योत दादा 🙏
This is quite exactly how we make at our home.. perfect Marathi batata poha recipe Just few things we do differently are that we add salt, turmeric and sugar in the soaked and puffed up poha and then add the poha to the cooked potatoes and cook it for another 5 mins with a splash of water. And then top it up with some fresh coconut (very important) and lemon juice. Also, a very important ingredient is grated ginger( and curry leaves too) ,adding it to the tadka before potatoes is a must!!
Woow being a non-maharashtrain u speak such a nice Marathi. I too make poha sane way but never added potatoes in it. But this Sunday will definitely try this receipe.
Aaj tak me her recipe channel sirf dekhti thi, kabhi kuch bhi try nahi kiya par jab se YFL dekhti hu har ek masala mene banaya aur bahot hi achaa bana sab kuch u r really v sweet person and excellent chef
I make exactly the same way and it turns out to be amazing. I'm gujarati and being married to Malayali husband,we mostly eat South Indian breakfast but I make sure I make this batata poha on weekends because I simply love it with batata. I love the way u said in marathi at the end. I love all ur recipes. Kudos!!
If I’m making something new and yfl doesn’t have it’s recipe I don’t make it. I love your channel and attention to detail and your passion for food is palpable! One thing about pohe: i fry the shengdane first thing in the oil and take them out. This way the oil gets their flavour if it’s not groundnut oil and i put the shengdane back in while serving so they preserve their crunch and keep their texture. Love it! Favourite nashta!
One word "Awesome ".. simple recipe but the way u explained it made it more delicious.. I cook like this only but simple trick make major changes.. Thanks
Maine youtube pe dekh kar bahot sari recepies banayi hai and bahot bar vo recepies fail hi jati hai, but apki Maine bahot sari recipes try ki hai but vo kabhi bhi fail nahi huvi and dilicious banti hai thanx bro 🥳
The humble pohey grew on us as we grew older. As kids we didn’t care much for these staples made at home. Over the years these home staples became our soul food. My late husband and I enjoyed this. No batatey for him. So I used to make them with onions and sometimes add corn. Now I add batatey since I love batatey.
I am excited a bit more when he makes Maharashtrian recipes ! And the Marathi words he speaks for which we eagerly wait during the recipe ,gives us immense satisfaction and happiness 😁 💫
I love to cook becoz i love to eat...i had discuss how to make marathi poha with my marathi friend and watched number of youtube vedios for number of years but non brings the perfection...after watching you vedio , your way of presentation now i am able to make the perfect marathi poha along wid taste and apperance Thank you so much
Perfect recipe If you add boiled sprouts, carrots / peas becomes complete meal We prefer garnishing with fresh grated coconut, it helps to maintain moisture too . Thank you 😊
Salute to your love of cooking is so evident in everything you do. The potatoes are so perfectly diced. They way you sprinkle the ingredients is like a shower of love ❤❤❤❤ The poha shows it’s moist and just so perfectly cooked.
Wah sir.....aap Marathi ekdam perfect sikhne ke raste par ho .....apke wo last wale sentence se bahot jyada achha feel hua.....aur as usual apka recipe to delicious hai....god bless you lot sir 💐
I used to mess up Kande pohe almost every time. They used to sometimes club together sometimes dry etc. Only by fluke they used to turn tasty so was not getting the trick where I was going wrong but with your tips in this recipe, I again tried and they were so delicious. I have been eating poha almost every alternate day now as I have got the trick of making them so tasty from you. Thanks your tips are really wonderful and you are so honest enough to share it with us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are my Kande pohe Guru.
