It's better for these guys not to participate. Youngsters will beat them anyway. They run the risk of being laughed at. Although this probably only applies to Koston, Cole is doing great!
Something about Brazilians, I've seen plenty tricks from Luan and Carlos, and these dudes pop and flip freaking textbook tricks as aesthetically perfect as they can be done. Impresses me every single time.
SMH "something about Brazilians"... Brazil is a country of 214 million people. The ONLY ones that make it to America for skating are the absolute best of their best. You're seeing the absolute cream of the crop - which yep, Luan and Carlos and Tiago and the rest are definitely that. But it ain't "cuz they're Brazilian." It's cuz they're the best handful outta 214 million ppl LOL. But you still onto something though - Brazilian pros now got that steez that 90's American pros had but most of the new American kids don't got. So mad props to Brazil for holding it down.
Lets be real... WHY put eric vs Carlos..?! Eric vs Louie would've been a bit more fair. No offense to anyone. Im just saying how they skate and in addition to kostons age. This was still great to watch 😎😎🔥
OG skaters will understand. We just never did back side bigspins. It wasn't a popular trick and we certainly never tried it switch. It's interesting which tricks gain popularity over time with the generations regardless of the trick's difficulty.
So funny how Jeron ended by saying if there was money on the line, he'd switch up all his picks. But since there's nothing at stake he just put all his old homies' names in.
What a joke. Honestly the Koston shtick of "this is beneath me" is so tired and played out at this point!! Dude just isn't even that good and doesn't wanna show it. Like quit playing bro, everyone knows you can't actually do it even if you were "actually trying". Gtfoh already Froston lmao
can we all appreciate Carlos’ pop 😳 i want him to teach me how to pop like that. it’s so damn crisp and perfect. Koston wasn’t feelin it this day i guess lol
Koston doesn't take any contest seriously since a long time ago, is between funny and annoying, you pretty much know how he's going to be like in advance. I know he's a legend but maybe give that slot to someone else next time.
Jeron Wilson is shaking his head in a corner somewhere right now and tearing up his prediction list of the winner of BATB. He had Koston winning the whole dang thing.
Koston was like "I don't really want to skate BATB so put me up against someone who will absolutely crush me in the first round so there's no chance that I have to skate a second round."
I am just gonna thumbs up for the both hands on the ground switch double flip approved cause Koston is a living Legend..Btw it is crazy how Carlos landed everything 8bolts!!!
There is something super jarring about the 720p camcorder footage being cut together with ungraded 4K log footage. Kinda hard to tell if it’s log but can definitely tell there was 0 effort to grade the cinema camera footage to match the HVX/HPX or whatever. Honestly there’s probably a built in picture profile that looks better to match the HPX compared to this muted possibly ungraded deliverable. I also wonder if I’m the only one being distracted by this😅
Every year I hope they finally do a serious competition but no once again foot touches and even hand touches are allowed. The guys tasked with reffing just sit there and do nothing like they are afraid to make a call or do anything that might seem uncool. If the first two matches posted are the standard for what's to come get ready for a rudderless, frustrating "competition."
i had a feeling koston was going to actually try this BATB and that was good to see. I thought he was going to awaken his old self somehow. pure entertainment tho and that switch double was steezy asf
dude he's 54. be glad Chris Cole has awaken HIS old self at 42 for this lol. Koston was winningthe eS games of skate back in the 90s and early 2000s, he don't need to prove himself man
@@eatassonthefirstdate u misunderstood me. koston is a legend. i've looked up to him as a skater and an all around cool dude since the late 90's. sometimes he doesn't try his hardest in games of skate anymore and that's super understandable. for some reason i had a feeling he was going to try this time around and it looks like he did. so i thought that was great and i loved the match more because of that.
Frosty gotta be one of the funnest dudes to session with. Enough skills to obliterate anyone on a good day but still humble & enjoying playing on the useless wooden toy.
